If you were busted with xanax, or any prescription medication, they will alter or adjust the test to that.
Normally its marijhuanna, you know that evil drug that 1 person 3 years ago died while smoking. Marijuana users are known to move onto deadlier substances like Alcohol, Fried Chicken and then the end, Xanax.
Al-Kainda is behind the marijuana and the cocaine and the illegal aliens that might cause harm to an american flag somewhere. This insanity must be stopped.
If you were busted for xanax, olr ever charged for possesion of xanax, even if the charges were dropped, they are allways on your record, so yes you most likely will be tested for Xanax.

It would depend on where you live and what kinds of labs they have access to.
If your doctor prescribed it, then contact your probation officer and tell him/her you have a prescription, and ask if that would be violate the rules of your probation. If nothing else, you'll be on record for asking and trying to follow the rules. If they say yes, then you're forewarned. You could also get a lawyer to argue your point to get permission to take it.
If you don't have a prescription, then you are posessing a controlled substance without a prescription, and that is surely against your probabtion.
It sounds like perhaps you've already taken it. If so, hopefully you have a prescription. If you don't have one, then you've already chosen to roll the dice, so you'll have to just wait and see how it comes down, if at all.

My brother had to do random drug tests as part of probation. They will test for ALL drugs, prescription or not, because so many people these days are abusing prescription drugs. There are also some foods that will cause a positve test. Poppy seeds for example, will test positive for heroin. I would suggest that if you are taking any prescriptions, to have your doctor write a note and take it to your probation officer. That will eliminate any problems if you should test positive.

They usually test for any and all drugs. THey already know all the tricks of the trade, and if you do test positive for xanax, you better have a prescription, because otherwise you've violated your probation.

If you need Xanax, get a prescription...
if you are using it illegally, you deserve what you get. Those that cannot follow the rules of this society get locked up, or should leave. Simple enough. I do it, you can too.
