Why not let Christmas be as it has been for longer than anyone today can remember ? And if someone wants to say Happy Hanukkah, let them.It is worse than a bunch of spoiled kids anymore. What happened to respect and tolerance for others. For all of you who don't want to be told Merry Christmas get a shirt, tattoo it on your foreheads, or carry a sign around if you need to. All it is meant to do is be a kind greeting, and offer good wishes.

Hmmm... I'm not crazy about being PC myself. Here's what I think -
If you have a Jewish store (i.e. grocery, gift shop, etc) then I say you should just say Happy Hanukkah. But if you have a store that caters to everyone then just stick with Seasons Greetings or something generic. I would rather call those phrases generic instead of PC. :)

I know you're being sarcastic, but I don't think anyone would have a problem with "Happy Hanukkah". The biggest debate over that would probably be whether you spell the word with a C or just and H.

Forget Happy Hanukkah - 99% of the Jews understand and aren't that rigid. Just go with Merry Christmas.

Stick to the ''Happy Holidays''. If we only use Hanukkah, they might start more commercializing our holiday as they do Xmas. Why ruin Hanukkah, too?

Why restrict? don't they have enough walls to put up "Merry Christmas" and "Happy Hanukkah" and "Happy Holiday"! or is that too much reading for some people. I say put them all up. If someone gets offended. then it is their problem not ours.

they should respect all religions and keep note of any holidays...
i think that would be lovely to hear Happy Hanukkah in stores or other celibrated holidays
it would remind us who arent aware that perhaps our friends are celibrating and we should send them something nice

I wish stores would stop all the commercialization of the holidays anyway. I hate for them to even say "Merry Christmas" since it's all fake and profit to them anyway.

I honestly don't care, I'll have a Merry Christmas whether or not the cashier tells me to or not.

You should say what ever is correct for you. People will appreciate something from the heart more then the mind.
