First, please understand that I am asking this only because I would like to know, not because I want to offend somebody. Ok, now let me ask...
I know that Muslim people should pray five times a day at particular time. Do they really practice that in everyday's life? I mean, because of all the obligations we all have? Do they pray at school or work (if they live in a non-Muslim country)? What if they are on the street at the particular time? And what is going on in Muslim countries? I have seen photos of Muslim people praying in the street while everything stops - traffic, all the people... They are all on their knees and they all pray. On the other hand, I have been to some Muslim countries and I have never actually seen this. How come?
Please, keep in mind that I asked this question out of curiosity, nothing else.

I imagine if you were in a muslim country and didnt see people praying in the streets it is because they went to the mosque. I do pray five times a day. I do not work now, but when I did I did it at work. I have been driving and we stop to pray at a place that is right there at that time.

You must realize that our life revolves around Islam, Islam does not revolve around our lives. And in Islamic countries everything stops when they hear the Adhan (call to prayer)

we pray any time any where. we love to pray and we also pray more than 5 times if we want to.

you have been to a Muslim country and haven't seen them pray? that's weired because the Mosques are Always filled with worshipers.

oh i see what you're saying. the pictures you saw were probably the Eid Prayer in which Muslims have to pray at the Mosque unlike the regular 5 daily prayers. it's because many many people pray at the same Mosque and sometimes it doesn't take all those people so the pray out side in the streets, they close the streets till the Prayer is over.
God bless you.

yes we pray five times mainly each day or even more(the sunnah).
Five times a day a Muslim is asked to stop whatever he is doing be it sleep, work, or play and make a ritual ablution before facing his Lord in Prayer. No matter what his actions, the most important thing to a Muslim is his relationship with god.

it is so imp,It fills his heart with the remembrance of Allah, and with fear of and hope in Him.
Prayers also affect the life of the Muslim by encouraging him to schedule his activities around their fixed times.
There is some flexibility, for each time is actually a span of one hour or more. But the Muslim who is conscious of god will strive to schedule his life in such a way that he does not miss any of the Prayers

there is no way that muslim countries ppl who pray in them are lesser than any other country, it is full of mosques every where , even in most places of work, school,.....etc.have places for the prayers.(may be there is a misunderstand).!!

peace brother.

I am just answering this question nothing else . I think if a muslim person is at a place and due to that reason they can't pray (a very strong reason , for example like at street ) they can offer Kazza when they pray the next time.

Unfortuantely I do not consistently pray (sorry to tarnish the good Muslims out there) but that's because I'm lazy. God allows us an alotted time to pray; you don't have to do it EXACTLY when it is time. You have about 3 hours to do a 3 minute prayer.

well the fact is that not every muslim is practicing their religion correctly(this is why in some countries u don't see muslims praying).and as for muslims in the west i know most jobs will allow the muslim employees to make the pray.and some jobs will even allow muslim men to leave for the friday pray(as it is an obligation for muslim men to go to the mosque on friday)

yes we do offer prayer five times a day (sometimes mre than that)as we love to meet our Allah that frequently and it never effect our day times activites.

Well you could not see that in muslim countries because muslims male offer in mosques as they have proper mosques at close distance...infact there are timings specified for prayers in offices and they are given break so that they can go for that .and in my country we have short working hours on friday(as it is considered more important than other days) just for the ease of muslims to offer their prayers. even we have mosques at hospitals , offices and even colleges so that muslims can pray togather.

take care of yours .We can differentiat who is asking nicely ..dont worry :)

Yes we pray 5 times and sometimes more than that. No matter where you go. I am a devout Muslim, not all muslims are devout, just like not all Christians go to church. Some people are Muslim Just in name :( Sadly!!
