You are referring to the Minas Gerais - ex HMS Vengeance of the Colossus class, built by Swan Hunter on the Tyne and launched in 1944. She was sold to Brazil in 1956. She has played an active role in the Brazilian Navy since refit and commissioning in their fleet in 1960.

I understand that this vessel is now out of service with the Brazilian Navy, having been replaced by the slightly less venerable ex French Navy carrier 'Foch'.
