and please dont say jewelry (for my mom) i got her some before and she either dont wear it or like one year she lent some earrings i gave her to my neice and ended up losing one

Food or fruit basket works for all the difficult people. EVERYONE must eat and with a variety in them each is likely to find something they like.

If you are estranged from them though,,, then don't bother with anything. But yet no time like the present to heal and make amends.
