the british have always been there when we need them.unlike most of the rest of the world they still are appreciative for what we did in WWII.i do not think they owe us because we did it together and they are the most gutsy of all europeans.
i am very proud to have been associated with a few british in life.

I'm British, to the core and beyond. John Bull will always be there with the Yank, and if our government plays the rat, we'll vote the blighters out.
John Bull has no need to call for respect from the Yank, because we know we have such respect. If we were in the slightest doubt of this, we would be out of the relationship instanter.
We do have a bunch of academic and media reprobates who question the relationship that the UK has with America, but such blackguards are generally consigned to the collective UK dustbin (trashcan) with some rapidity, as we can appreciate the speciousness of their puny arguments and the faulty machinations of their addled brains.
America, you have John Bull, Johnny Turk and Japan with you. Give Japan a bit of head. It is a pity we cannot get the Irish Republic to be a tad more generous with their military posture - they have ruddy good troops. But Washington, London, Ankara and Tokyo is a good axis of military superlatives. Build on it. You are the leaders now.

I appreciate Britain being an ally. Tony Blair has been a great support. However, if they want to leave we will carry on. Their numbers are small in comparison to ours but their faith & friendship will be missed. Why would we give the "same" respect to any country that we give to our soldiers? You owe your countrymen support over everyone else. Patriotism.

HEY RANDOM. Canada is in Afghanistan right alongside American troops So are other countries. We just don't have enough troops to spread over every war going on right now. Most of us support your troops in Iraq as well. Lets get rid of those terrorists whereever they are hiding and get all our troops home safe.

As a Desert Storm vet I was always glad to know the Brits were on our flank!
However, I'd like to thank all of our allies many of those you normally do not hear about on the News:
Czechs
Danes
Estonians
Poles
Ukrainians.
In Afghan:
Canadians
French
Germans
Dutch
I'm sure I've left someone out. Hopefully you'll add your countries name.

I love the British, they have my support the whole way, even if many of them are seething with hatred for Americans and/or our president and government.
If I were over there, I would still love them even if I knew they hated me just because I'm a fat stupid American, you have to rise above it.
