Hi, I really need some advice. I've never dyed my hair before. I'm really bored with my look right now. I have fair skin, light blue/gray eyes, and light blonde hair. Originally I wanted to dye my hair black, but I was advised not to do it by a lot of people because it would give me a washed out kind of look! Instead I was told to try a dark brown or even a red shade. What color would help bring out my eyes? More specifically, should I try a dark brown or something lighter? I think a chocolate brown looks really good.I know a lot of examples,but the only one I can think of is Mandy Moore looked really good when she did that.

Try a medium reddish brown or even a light reddish brown. Use a demy or semi permanent color, they deposit color only. You don't need to use a regular permanent color because it will lighten and deposit at the same time. Hope you understand what I'm talking about. You could even try a light nuetral brown. Good luck

When you say light skin are you very fair with pink or yellow undertones?If pink and you go brown you should go a golden brown,if yellow tones you should go medium brown.With your eyes being blue it will po put even more.I think people should go darker in the winter and light in the summer.Red may wash you out unless your skin is porcelin like marcia clark on desperate housewives that plays Brie.

well, blonde hair is bringing blue eyes out the most!
I have a friend hwo was brunette and with light blue eyes and she colored her hair to blond and eyes...Wow! It suits so well!
Don't color your hair! YOU ARE A NATURAL BLOND! some ladyes would give everything for it! Do you know that only 1,4 % of world population have natural blond hair!
You just want to change it because YOU are bored, but the stranger who walk on a street is actually admire you inside her mind! But do what you want. But perhaps color you hair with that kind of hair color what you can wash off.....just to try!

i think you should go with a shade just a little bit darker than chocolate colored. i have fair skin too, and i dyed my hair dark brown and it made me look washed out until it faded to a lighter color. brown would bring out your eyes, just dont go too dark!

Don't dye you hair.
I know a guy with pale skin, blue eyes, and dark brown hair who is very handsome, but I'm generally against people dying their hair.

I looked pretty much the same as you....but my hair is getting darker and I don't like it! Try some light brown low lights and a dramatically new haircut if you are bored....such as bangs or layers.

no darker than a chocolate. Maybe try a temporary color, and put some chocolate brown streaks or chunks in it. If you like it, next time use the same color in a permanent color!!

i would say to go with a light auburn look or try a light brown golden look or a light reddish brown it would look great with ur complexion.

you really might not want it permanent cuase i remeber wantign to change my hair color but then i got bored again lol. try using a semi-permanent dye and if you really like it then do it permanently =)
