Yes it's an infatuation. Sometimes you are just intensely attracted to someone or drawn to them & you don't know why. If you don't know him then it can't be love. Infatuation can feel a lot like being in love though. It can become an obsession. If you get to know him & find that he has feelings for you too & you have things in common & have a relationship then it could turn into love. But if he remains a mysterious stranger then it's just a crush, not love.
I used to have crushes on guys who didn't know I existed back in high school. Then eventually I preferred males who liked me back!

You'll get over him eventually when you find the real thing.

I think so. If you don' really know someone how can you say you like them? What do you like about him? Figure it out and get to know him to finally settle things.

i've been in the same boat before. i liked someone for a year that i knew a lot yet nothing about and it was like, i REALLY liked him but now it's like "he's cool but i don't know him" and i don't like him anymore
