The real way to make it is minced lamb layered with lamb tail fat, I think here though its minced lamb and fat just mixed together. Some places now do chicken donner too, so that obviously is made with minced chicken.

It could be lamb, beef, goat or chicken. It's unlikely to be pork, although there are Greek döner places in the UK.
Any half-way decent kebab establishment will tell you what meat it is if you ask.

A real one, lovely. But those ones you see?

Let's think about this.

Eyeballs
Lips
Arses
Skin
Genitals
Eyelids
Ears
Nipples
MRM

Etc etc. But hey - after a skinful of drink they do taste great don't they?!

No offence to real kebab makers.

Look at it in the shop spinning around. It is an elephant's leg with the bone replaced with a metal rod.

It is supposed to be lamb, but when sales are down and money is hard, Tiddles or Spot are cheap substitutes!

When I lived in Munich (2004) it was ALL turkey dark meat. ALL of it. I was told they switched to turkey because of mad cow, mad sheep disease. Anyway, it was delicious! I ate 3 or 4 a week. :-)
