I had a dog that had cancer and I tried everything. I even took him to a cancer specialist vet and they could give him chemo treatments,but still, it wouldn't cure his disease. All I could do is put him on pain pills until I knew his quality of life was at an end. After diagnosis,I had him for about 9 months. One night I knew it was time to let him go so I planned on calling my vet the next morning. On my way to the vet he passed away in the back of my SUV before I got there. Truly broke my heart. I feel so sorry for you and your dog. You failed to mention what type of cancer? My dog had Osteosacoma (bone cancer).While I was at the cancer vet I seen this poem in a frame called Rainbow Bridge. Three years later I still have it hanging on my refrigerator. Go on the web and type it in. WARNING.... It will make you cry,but you will fall in love with it.

Oh you poor thing I am sooo sorry!!! Your best bet is to find out if there are any treatments for it and then let the poor little guy live its life as full as it can be. Good luck

Talk to the vet and ask what are his possibilites to continue having a reasonable standard of living. If it is not good, you should help him to rest in peace. He/she for sure deserves it.

:-\ im so sorry, depending on its severness and life line i would say putting it to sleep...but it would be sad., but only if its gunna die! dont do it if it isnt.!! im sry :-\ good luck.
