You do not say which people you are refering to.The wealthy people from Mexico could care less what the USA thinks. The wealthy people from Mexico are sending their poor over here. They are not being send, because of concern for the poor.

I don't listen to people that feel that way.Its simply wrong, this nation must care for its own people first last and always.we can not feed the world,we can no longer defend the world. We must take care of our own people. There is no way in hell that I would take from a legal American and give to anyone.I would share but not at the expense of my own people.Selfish ,no I'm not selfish I am true believer in nationalism and
I love America
83.3% of the people in the world live in country's that are poorer than Mexico. Thanks for that great link.
One of the characteristics of borders is that it divides the human race into those within the borders and those outside—just like the door to your apartment divides the human race into those within your apartment, and those on the outside. Borders, like doors and locks, are exclusionary by nature.

They should not!!! There are millions of poor people in this counry that are pretty much ignored. They remain poor becuase they can't find jobs. They cant find jobs becuase they are taken by illegal Mexicans. Mexico seems to think the answer to its poverty problems is let them come here. I say DEPORT THEM!!!! Legal immigration is fine. But illegals, Mexican illegals i just cannot stand, and I hate them with a passion. This country seems to be to nice to them, helping out "a poorer nation" ect. Well before we give "amnesty" or what not, let all Americans, regardless of race, white, black, hispanic, whatever find jobs first, then and only then help their asses out!!!

Maybe because they don't show our citizens in those 'Feed the Children' advertisements. Some people think we don't have poor, or that our own poor are always to blame for their circumstances. Can I borrow a line from the illegals? What about our CHILDREN?! Are they to blame for being poor?

Because they are Mexican.
American "Do Gooders" think that way too.
Nothing much to do about it. As one person
said,"Comes The Revolution".

Our own poor have more of a choice in the matter. They choose not to pick lettuce, pears, and other crops, for example. But they can be counted on to buy up our food stamp inventory so I guess it's a wash.
The poster above gave me a good idea - instead of deporting the Mexicans who are willing to work, let them trade places with the welfare class who, with their supposed desire to do something meaningful, could bring this expertize to rural Oaxaca, for example.

Dont you realize that it is a two way problem?
Immigrants are just trying to find a better way of living, you can not blame them for trying to feed their families. You do not know what they have been through, so you can't judge them at all.
Who are really doing a "bad" thing or the damage, are the ones who hire them so that THEY do not have to insure them and also save a lot of money in salaries, and you as a consequence can pursuit what everybody else is looking for, to buy cheaper things.
So if you want to be mad at someone, be mad at your own!

our "poor" have many opportunities to work, and many to recieve government benefits. Mexico does not offer either. Too many times Americans are only poor because they dont want to work. I have no pity for people like that. If illegal immigrants come to work, more power to them.

My family has orchards in California. We have fruit ripening and falling from the trees because there are no more pickers, and local welfare offices and unemployment offices won't require anyone to work in the field in lieu of staying on the dole.
When your food prices start to go up, and they have already started, you will do a reverse Custer and say, "What happened to all the mestizos?"
