Jesus is not and was not white. He is black the bible clearly tells us this, but they are always depicted as white peopl. Another big lie. In time the world will find out who the true Israel is.

TV depicts them as white because that's unfortunately what sells. Religion is hard enough to sell in this country so any advantage they can get in marketing they will use. I always thought that Jesus would look like the rest of the majority of people living in that area. I didn't think that Israel and the surrounding area was predominantly black.

Actually, the Bible doesn't tell us anywhere what color Jesus was. Considering he was a middle-eastern Jew, however, I would guess fairly dark. People often depict him as white, however, for one of two reasons. Either they're prejudiced (our Savior couldn't possibly have anything less than white!), or they're identifying personally with him - they just automatically think of him as a person who looked like they do. Of course, in reality, skin color doesn't matter. This is why, for instance, you'll frequently see pictures of the Virgin Mary as all sorts of different ethnicities. It's not because anyone seriously thinks Mary was Chinese or Hispanic or Native American, but because she, like Christ, belongs to all peoples.

Where is your proof, and where in the Bible does it say this?. Jesus was a Jew, which to my mind means he had olive coloured skin, not white nor black.
P.S to Believer,
Moses had many wifes so who knows if this one had anything to do with Jesus line, even if she was part of Jesus's line, with a time difference of over 50,000 years between Moses and Jesus I don't think there would be much of any Black genes remaining.

Jesus had the olive colored skin of the Palestine region and was not black, and to Jesus the color of a persons skin is irrelevant.

You are right. He was born as a human in Bethlehem but only in His human form.
Good point. Moses was married to an Ethiopian which meant Black. Good Bible study would help a lot of people, including myself.

Why would Jesus be black? Unless you mean comparitively.
Jews are not black (African features). Further, the Bible doesn't say He was. "Skin of copper" is a far cry from "skin of ebony."

Jews are not black,they range from very light to fairly dark.Who the hell knows or cares what color Jesus was??
