The majority of answers contain insults and name calling, it is obvious that you don't understand the question so you have no hope of ever answering it. Some of you can not see any further than the nose on your face, so I am surprised that you manage to use the keyboard, If you can't answer a question in a sensible and intellectual way then don't even try to answer it at all.

I have to agree with you on this. I'm a creationist myslef and the last time I posted a question on here about evolution, I got abuse most of the time as well. The problem comes from indoctrinated idiots who have been brought up being told that evolution is the be-all and end-all and life is then meaningless. This message is in th schools, media and even the Church itself.
If you email me I'll have an intelligent conversation on evolution with you.

What, like "Why is the theory of evolution not scientifically valid?", "Does anyone else think that the whole idea of evolution is stupid?" and "How does the collapse of the theory of evolution demonstrate the truth of creation?"

I guess because you seem to have put your viewpoint into the wording of the question which then attracts people with opposing views.

In fact, I've noticed that even when you're not asking 'a reasonable academic question' your questions quite often appear designed to provoke a response. Either that or there's a strange quirk to your humour.

Basically I think that if you invite insults and name calling I don't know why you'd complain when you get them.

Hopefully this answers your question in a sensible and intellectual way (although I rather regret I wasn't able to inject a touch more humour).

Oh, and be sure to let us know how your your date with Fassa Albrecht goes!

Your questions have nothing to do with intellect or academia: you're simply propounding your own deluded ideas and hoping someone will prove you right. Religion will never be proven right, because it's based upon a set of BELIEFS. If you can't see your beliefs as beliefs, but assume they're truths, you're deluding yourself. Trying to twist people's perceptions of reality through word-play may be what you think is intellectual, but in fact all you're doing is fooling the ignorant and weak-minded. There's no hope of any non-christian having a "reasonable" discussion with a fundamentalist christian, because your ideas are warped and twisted, and you just have circular arguments, because you won't admit the reality of anything your religion says isn't true. If your religion turned around tomorrow, and said that Darwin was a prophet, and that your God used evolution as a means of creation, you'd turn around and say that evolution was right, and that all your previous theories were wrong. You people don't think for yourselves, and you expect answerers on Yahoo to think of your rationalisations for you. Maybe you'd get a more pleasing response on some evangelical christian chatroom. If you don't like the answers you get, stick to your fellow sheep. Baaaaaa!

Stone---that is Evangelical Christianity for you.

There is so much proof of evolution having happened, and is still happening, I do not know how they can shut it out so easily. Why can't they understand that this just might be G-d's way of doing things. The ones that really get me are the ones that say emphatically that G-d made it all in 6 days---period. They cannot see past that their 24 hours might not be the same as G-d's day.

Oh, thank you Mr. academic scholar for correcting the way some people answer questions. I can tell by your presence on Yahoo Answers that you have no academic friends to associate with so you come here. I know we are illiterate, but who helped you type? I gave up having a parent when I was 16, so don't tell me what I can do.

I can type with my eyes closed.

but aside from that I agree. Although I'm not sure how else to respond. I guess this isn't a sensible and intellectual answer.

Oh well its just Yahoo, drink a soda and youll feel better.

mainly because the teaching of evolution etc is limited. due to the religious offence it may cause, there is only a certain amount teachers and academics are allowed to say on the matter.
hence the often cold and blunt answers. theyre tied by political correctness.

What exactly is your question? Why is it that when I ask a reasonable academic question about evolution...I don't get an answer? You need to actually ask the question to get an answer.

Stone, I looked over your other questions and the answers given. Nothing particularly insulting and I found little if any name calling...

I suspect that you posted your academic question under the wrong category. This is based solely on the fact that you posted this rant under 'Religion and Spirituality' [which, I admit, may be the correct place if you are venting your frustration at your god or spirit]
