Depends. Extra dry is straight vodka with a couple olives, some people use vermouth too. Then you have several others...such as a bikini martini, cosmo, etc. My favorite is a bikini martini...pineapple orange juice, vodka with ice, shaken until frothy, pour in glass, add a splash of grenadine.

Pour chilled Absolut over ice, shake, strain into glass,(don't get the vodka wet) wave the vermouth bottle over the martini glass, throw in an olive and enjoy.

Depends on what you have in the drinks cupboard. Usually I use a ratio of 3:2:1 of Vermouth, Water, Vodka and don't forget the Olive.

a vodka martini is made the same way as gin only with vodka.
put in about 2 oz. of vodka
put in a splash of vermouth
and add some olives!!!
you can also add some flavored pucker for a flavored martini!!
i.e. apple pucker to the mix makes an apple martini!! add cherries to this one instead of olives!!!

You mix 1 measure of vodka with one measure of dry martini and stir then add plenty of ice and a slice of lemon. Easy isn't it?

Vodka Martini
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ingredients:
1 1/2 oz Vodka
3/4 oz Dry Vermouth
1 Olive
Mixing instructions:
Shake the vodka and vermouth together with a number of ice cubes, strain into a cocktail glass, add the olive and serve.
Creator/contributor's comments:
This is the martini that James Bond drinks in the books and films. (Although he drinks it somewhat drier than this - more Vodka, less Vermouth).
