Deja vu is when something happens and it looks extremely familiar to you, as if you have seen this 'scene' before or have been there, done that before, but you actually haven't.
The American Heritage Dictionary defines deja vu as: déjà vu (n.) The illusion of having already experienced something actually being experienced for the first time.
Hope this helps!

Scientist have found that people with brain injury (resulting not only from accidents, but also tumors, seizures, etc.) can have the feeling of 'deja vu' or feeling like they've done something or been somewhere before. They can also have 'dejais vu', which the feeling that someting very routine is starkly new (like walking somewhere for the first time, when infact, you've done it every day for years.)

Deja vu suggests that you are experiencing something that you have experienced in the past. This is from Hindu belief and remember they believe in reincarnation. We have all been here before through many lifetimes.
In our current life things happen that trigger memories from past lives. It can be the environment we are in, a feeling, a vibration, something we hear like words or music. Anything we can experience now can trigger a memory from the past if we had passed through something similar previously.

Neuro physiologists believe that deja vu may be due to a processing quirk within the brain. When one experiences something that experience is routed into short term memory and then into long term memory. It can then be recalled as a memory from either short or long term. Neuro physiologists believe that sometimes this routing into memory can occur so rapidly that during the initial experience the brain routes into memory so rapidly that one can actually perceive the event as having already happened.

It is French for "already seen". During the everyday routine of life you might see or hear something - that's not part of your routine - that seems as though you are sure you have seen or heard it before though you can't imagine how you would have because you can't recall a particular time that it would be something that has happened before. When I have experienced it, it always something trivial such as a particular street seen or furniture arrangement somewhere - it's never been anything important but I have felt for a few seconds that I have seen it before.

This seems like i have done this before.............. Deja Vu is a feeling of repatition, like you have done something in the same time and place before. I belive it is caused by stress and Touretts Syndrom, judging by my studies. It is linked withthe repetitional part of your bran, the same part that controls your scheduals, like Getting out of bed at a certian time, but it sometimes give you a feeling of repetition. Tourett's Syndrom also is linked to the repetition part of your brai, it is where you do something over and over again, without thought, and usually it involves a jerk of a part of your body. Again, this is just part of my studies
Unless you were talking about that really cheesy movie...

it is a sensation you sometimes get like youve been here before. you have seen this already. like, i had a moment a couple of days ago, where i was having a conversation, and i could tell exactly what she was going to say, before she said it. i had a dream a couple of weeks earlier about it. it was fleeting and strange, but i love it!

exact events that have happened in prievous existance, happening in simutaneous same time frame coiencidence just again. in a previously lost soul, due to some hysterisis memory retention. in other words you did not lose your whole sole, so you could actualy remember this exact time frame happening again.
