The best thing to use is Clear Essence. I don't have acne but I use to have occasional hormonal blemishes two weeks before that time of the month. Clear Essence gives instant results...I guarantee it. Pro Active doesn't really do much for black skin. I recommend...The Medicated Bar Soap...Blemish control wash...and Medicated Fade Cream on Clear Essence Classic Line. Happy Cleaning!

Same way as everyone else. I'm white but I have 3 best friends who are African Americans and too of them have acnee. One of them used proactive which helps a mega-ton, and the other uses facial cleansers and moistursers from drug stores (and they both seem to be working)
good luck

Ask your dermatologist for Ovace products. Healthpoint Pharmaceuticals makes this line and many Doctors who treat black problem skin have found it works very well.

If you want to use over the counter treatments, Proactive line has been said to be good for everyone if you follow the program.
