well if u do plan on having sex with someone its always safe and best to be both tested for anything STD or other diseases that might be transmitted. better to be safe than sorry. and as for how long b4 u start having sex. that is entirely up to u. whenever the both of you feel comfortable. just think of it in the form of a question. would you regret having sex early on in a relationship if all they wanted was sex from you? or is this headed towards a long-term relationship or something of a fling?

As long as the two of you like,and if it makes you feel better,take the test together.

i would say wait at least 6 months. it also depends on how old you are. the younger you are the longer it should be.
and yes, get a blood test.
