generally during a c-section you should not feel any pain, but you may feel a weird feeling, like a tug, or what not. However after until your incision fully heals you may need to take it easy, It take generally two weeks longer to recover from a c-section than you might with a natural birth..

it doesn't hurt at all. there is a lot of discomfort when the baby is actually pulled out, but it doesn't hurt. the real pain is after the surgery is over and the morphine wears off. just make sure you start walking around that first day or within a few hours or it will be even worse! recovery is over a lot faster if you start getting up and walking as soon as you can. just have the nurse in the hospital help you get up the first few times.

The only pain you feel is for the next 2 weeks after. Especially the first few days.

Wow how did I get a thumbs down? i had two C-sections. I know how it feels.

during the Cesarean Section anesthesia is given which makes the procedure painless. After C-section pain is controlled by medication, but there is some degree of pain--did this answer help ?

The only thing you feel is "pressure", as the dr. is pushing around. It is painless. The recovery is pretty simple as well. I came home after 2 days, both times.

it isn't the surgery that is painful, it's the recovery, 2-4 weeks of being unable to use your abdominal muscles without pain. If you can, try to go naturally, the recovery is a breeze, 2-7 days.

No pain, at all, during the procedure. Mommy is quite sore after, while the stitches and tissue heal over.

Even if your anestesia WORKS (which mine didn't... PLEASE do not let them strap you down until you are completely numb) it still takes weeks to recover. It is the most painful thing I have ever experienced and have NO intention of it happening again. VBAC for me!
