I've been reading on here that they are both natural sleep aids, and I am looking for something to knock me out on a long flight... would taking both together pose any health risks?

Here is a website from someone who experimented with this. This seems to be the correct mix type to make this work - both of these plus some B6 to go with it to make it all work.

I have used this combo myself to help me sleep and it is effective in helping me go to sleep and remain asleep.
Kava Kava is also an effective herbal calmative. Calms Forte, by Hyland, also is useful. You may also want to take an aspirin before boarding a plane for a long flight. It reduces the risk of blood clots caused by sitting in those cramped up tiny seats for long periods.
Have a great trip!

Everyone's body reacts differently to things introduced into the body, but no vitamin can be considered 100% safe because they aren't tested by the FDA. So, side/adverse effects, correct dosages, and other things are not tested thoroughly. I wouldn't advise taking them, you could end up doing more harm than good.

It is safe and as neither is particularly effective as a sedative hypnotic they will not knock you out.
