I don't know how old you are but what I would suggest is visiting your local SPCA and asking if you could volunteer to help out at the shelter. If your parents see that you are really serious and you put in sometime with the shelter, they might reconsider. Just saying you want a cat is one thing. Showing that you can care for a cat; feeding, littlerbox, brushing and spending time with the pet is another.

There is really nothing you could do until you move out or you can ask your parents to reconsider and that you will prove to them that you will take care of the cat and all the expense that comes with it. Maybe get a petsitting job. Just an idea.

It's possible that your parents hate your guts, so go out and find a rich sugar daddy then use him for every penny he has, thus right off the bat tell him he'll get nothing until he buys you a brand new car;) LOL

Face the facts, it's your parents home, their rules, and their standards of living, so unless you can sweet talk them into changing their minds, it looks as if you'll be waiting a while for a car:(

there is nothing you can do sweetheart i too love kittens, but my father is allergic to them, i cant have one until i move out, But however when i was 6 years old I picked up a stray cat and hid it in my room, Dad suffered and pretended i did not know why ? until, i got caught, My mother found the cat wetting in my corner of the room, and out the door it went, Soo my suggestion just wait

Talk to them.
Don't whine and cry, don't pick a fight, talk like a big girl.
Ask why you can't have one. They may give reasons, like they want you to be older or they feel like the house you live in is too small for more pets. In that case, you need to wait.
If it's something like they feel like you're not responsible enough, or they don't have the money, maybe you could offer to do more chores, or odd jobs for neighbors, church members, or old folks in your neighborhood. Show them that you can handle it.

You should ask again and ask why they wont get one--tell them that your responsible enough to take care of a cat.

Wait 'till you move out and get two. They'll keep each other company when you are not home.
