It depends on the manufacturer - I work for a major energy drink manufacturer and we just released the first powdered energy drink on the market. You just pour it into a bottle of water (I use lemon flavored) shake it and you have an energy drink on the go. You can also mix it in juice or what ever your beverage of choice is. The ingredients in our drink (which is natural and healthy) is: Vitamin C, B3, B6, B12, Fibersol (dietary fiber), Guarana Seed (natural stimulant), Juice Extract (cherry, pineapple, mango, orange), Green Tea, Panax Ginseng (root), Stevia Leaf Extract (natural sweetner), L-arginine, Taurine, L-camitine, Tyrosine, and Maca (root). If you or your friends or anyone else would like a FREE SAMPLE check out my profile on how to get one and I'll hook you up. I have the craziest job in the world but it's fun

Red Bull is made of sugar, caffeine, B-complex vitamins, and taurine.

Not all are built that way, though. Some might just contain the caffeine and sugar. Some might replace the taurine with ginseng or guarana. Some may or may not include vitamins.

You need to be wary of some of these 'energy drinks', some contain aspartame.

E951 - the ONLY food additive with a health warning.
