If you do not believe in Jesus as the living God, who was with God in the beginning, and that he was the one who paid for our sins on calvary, I would like to know why.

People have a hard time accepting Jesus Christ simply because of their innate sinful nature and their egos and arrogance. Satan deceives most people into thinking that they don't need Jesus or makes them not believe in Him....Congratulations, my friend, it sounds like you have the Holy Spirit in you and will join me in eternity. We've been chosen! Praise Jesus.

Because he was a prophet sent from the Creator. Why do you have such a hard time accepting that???

Matthew 7:22-23-

Many will say to me in that day , Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then I will profess unto them, I never knew you; depart from me, ye that iniquity.

The only Savior is God, not a human. I wonder what you will do when the Messiah (Jesus, pbuh) comes and destroys all the images and crosses. Oh then we will all know.

It's really hard to convert Jews, Muslims, etc. into Christians. Just think if someone were to try to convert you into Islam or Judiasm. You'd have a really hard time accepting... hopefully, you wouldn't believe and accept at all. They are already so set in their own beliefs that they won't allow another idea to control them. As for those who never believed anything, it's the same way. They're used to not believeing anything and believing that there is no god, so to get them to change their ways of thinking is like to convert Buddhists into Christians. And those who believe but are reluctant to accept Jesus Christ, they are probably either unsure or scared. They probably believe 90%, but they want to be 100 % asure. Also, many people believe that once you become a Christian, you have to live a perfect, or almost perfect life and that you have to give up all of your possessions. You have to let them realize that that is not true. God bless.

It's like this...you got people all around you telling you that the view from the top of the mountain is great & you just gotta go see it and experience it. But you don't go. Why? 'Cause you're afraid you'll fall & get hurt or die. Here's another one....you know people who drive & ride motorcycles & they all tell you how wonderful it is, & you should try it sometime. But you don't. Why? 'Cause you're afraid you'll fall off, or crash & die. They don't want to make the commitment that could cost them their lives, and that's what it takes to accept Jesus as your Savior. It's all about commitment, and how much people are willing to give. Some just want to stick their toe in, like testing the water. Some will only go half way, still being in control. Others realize it's all or nothing. That's me. I've never done things halfway. If you're gonna do something, find out what you need to, then either do it all the way or move on. Many people believe IN Jesus, not ON Jesus. What's the difference? Believing IN something means you acknowledge that it exists. Believing On something means you're totally committed to everything about it. And that's how it is with Jesus. You're either totally committed in believing on everything He said, or not. "...Choose you this day whom you will serve. As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord". Joshua 24:15. <*)))><

Because it's every where you look? I'm not that into religion, but I have my own certain beliefs. But when I'm flicking through t.v channels and I see people jumping, fainting, dance, screaming and singing uncontrollably about Jesus and etc, it makes me laugh. It makes me wonder if Jesus, God, whoever really wants us to act like bafoons like that. Religion today is so segregated anyway, why join something else that nit picks you into a little conformed group? Why have to attend classes and masses and pray all the time just to say or prove you believe in something? It's all horse pucky to me.

I do believe in god but I also understand and accept that not everyone has the same beliefs as I do. I also think that some people do not want to accept God and/or Jesus because it is diffcult to believe that someone elese is in control of your life in every aspect. I also believe that the Bible is proof that God and Jesus existed long ago.

You answer your own question... You say "If you do not believe in Jesus as the living God, who was with God in the beginning," how can he be God and be with him self at the same time? Something for you to think about....

God is Jehovah our father. His name is found at Psalms 83:18. Jesus is his son and died for our sins. After he died for our sins he was resurrected by his father Jehovah. Prior to his ascension, Jesus stated at John 20:17, "I am ascending to my Father and YOUR Father and to my God and YOUR God." Jesus worshipped Jehovah alone as his God which is shown when he replied to the Devil's temptation at Matthew 4:10, "Then Jesus said to him: “Go away, Satan! For it is written, ‘It is Jehovah your God you must worship, and it is to him alone you must render sacred service."

The scriptures state that "No man has seen God at any time" John 1:18 . Yet we all know that Jesus came to earth to pay for our sins. So how could this be if they were the same?

The scriptures show that Jesus, as God's first creation, was with him when Jehovah created all other things. But, Jesus is not The Creator.

Jesus' position is shown in the Bible at Colossians 1:15,16 "He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation; because by means of him all [other] things were created in the heavens and upon the earth, the things visible and the things invisible, no matter whether they are thrones or lordships or governments or authorities. All [other] things have been created through him and for him."

Also, Proverbs 8:22-31 talks about Jesus' pre-human existence - "Jehovah himself produced me as the beginning of his way, the earliest of his achievements of long ago.  From time indefinite I was installed, from the start, from times earlier than the earth.  When there were no watery deeps I was brought forth as with labor pains, when there were no springs heavily charged with water. Before the mountains themselves had been settled down, ahead of the hills, I was brought forth as with labor pains,  when as yet he had not made the earth and the open spaces and the first part of the dust masses of the productive land.  When he prepared the heavens I was there; when he decreed a circle upon the face of the watery deep, when he made firm the cloud masses above, when he caused the fountains of the watery deep to be strong, when he set for the sea his decree that the waters themselves should not pass beyond his order, when he decreed the foundations of the earth,  then I came to be beside him as a master worker, and I came to be the one he was specially fond of day by day, I being glad before him all the time, being glad at the productive land of his earth, and the things I was fond of were with the sons of men."

You want to say Jesus was the original God in the bible?
You really think he was that evil?

Alright let's highlight some of that God's more shining moments!

The flood - God called all of humanity wicked. - There was no law by which to show how we were evil. There were no rules to break!
Sodom and Gomorrah - God calls them grieviously sinful. - Still no law by which for them to break! No sins to commit!
Egypt - God hardened Pharoahs heart so he could send one more plague Exodus 11:1 & 4 - 5 THE KILLING OF CHILDREN!

All that murder and you want to say he is a savior? He's the one we need saved from! Fortunately he's as real as the tooth fairy or flying pink elephants!

Christianity started out as a cult and it still is. Check your own history - the zealous fathers of your beliefs are murderers and warmongers. Read a REAL history book.
I have a hard time listening to fools prattle on about a "truth" they can't prove and I, like most others, don't take well to being fed bull. You wanna force people into believing in your dirty god, stand next to the crazy people in the subway, handing out pamphlets saying you'll get AIDs for not being "saved" like that works.

They reject the Holy Spirit, from whom faith is graciously given.

John 14
15"If you love me, you will obey what I command. 16And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Counselor to be with you forever— 17the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you.

Even after the apocalyptic events begin those who reject Jesus will not be convinced or change their ways.

Revelation 9
20The rest of mankind that were not killed by these plagues still did not repent of the work of their hands; they did not stop worshiping demons, and idols of gold, silver, bronze, stone and wood—idols that cannot see or hear or walk. 21Nor did they repent of their murders, their magic arts, their sexual immorality or their thefts.

Kyle, simply because there are so many other religions that people choose rather than the Christian one. You cannot force a belief on anyone. Just pray and do your best, but do not continue to post this on line.

I am proud that you are a Christian. I am as well but we have to accept as well as respect those who choose not to believe. Your best source is prayer. Remember, even our Savior walked away from the unbelievers.
