i downloaded the free regcure software and ran it in my pc and it found lots of registry and activeX control issues. It is asking me to buy the software since there are many available. Which is the best that I can buy or is there any free software the I can download to fix?

Try system mechanic, it is free trial for thirty days, I can't give you the site, I did that once and I was told that this is valuation and my answer was deleted, they considered it as spam, so look for that in search engine.

I'm not really sure, but I know download.com has helped me out alot with downloading things on my computer and mostly all of it is free or free trails.
