Click on Start/Run, and type "dxdiag" (without the quotes) and hit enter.

That will display all your directx information.

Go to start -> run and type in "dxdiag" without the quotes and press okay. A box will probably pop up asking if you want to check to see if your drivers are WHQL. Say yes or no (your choice), and a screen will pop up and the DirectX version will be toward the bottom of the list on the first page.

Click the Start button.
Click Run... (on the lower-right of the menu).
In the Run dialog, type "dxdiag" (without the quotes).
Click OK.

The DirectX Diagnostic Tool will appear. The currently installed version of DirectX will be listed at the bottom of the System tab.
