I understand your confusion. Christianity is a confusing religion. Christians believe in something called the "Holy Trinity." The Holy Trinity is a three-part system. There is God. God has a few names, The Father, Yhwh, I AM and the such. There is a part of God who fills every person. This is called the Holy Spirit or Holy Ghost. I'm not quite sure about Islam, but I think Jesus (in Islam) is considered a messenger of God. In Christianity, Jesus is God, but since he was born via Mary, he is also called the Son of God. So both terms are correct, people just use them interchangeably.

Many professed Christians are confused. To them Jesus is both the Son of God and God at the same time, although that teaching is not found in the Bible. There are reference works that state that the trinity is not found in the Bible.

The Encyclopedia of Religion says: "Theologians agree that the New Testament also does not contain an explicit doctrine of the Trinity."

Jesuit Fortman states: "The New Testament writers . . . give us no formal or formulated doctrine of the Trinity, no explicit teaching that in one God there are three co-equal divine persons. . . . Nowhere do we find any trinitarian doctrine of three distinct subjects of divine life and activity in the same Godhead."

The New Encyclopædia Britannica observes: "Neither the word Trinity nor the explicit doctrine appears in the New Testament."

Bernhard Lohse says in A Short History of Christian Doctrine: "As far as the New Testament is concerned, one does not find in it an actual doctrine of the Trinity."

The New International Dictionary of New Testament Theology similarly states: "The N[ew] T[estament] does not contain the developed doctrine of the Trinity. 'The Bible lacks the express declaration that the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit are of equal essence' [said Protestant theologian Karl Barth]."

Yale University professor E. Washburn Hopkins affirmed: "To Jesus and Paul the doctrine of the trinity was apparently unknown; . . . they say nothing about it."—Origin and Evolution of Religion.

Historian Arthur Weigall notes: "Jesus Christ never mentioned such a phenomenon, and nowhere in the New Testament does the word 'Trinity' appear. The idea was only adopted by the Church three hundred years after the death of our Lord."—The Paganism in Our Christianity.

Thus, the canon of 27 inspired books of the Christian Greek Scriptures provide no clear teaching of the Trinity.

Jesus is both God and the Son of God. If you are truly curious about this, try studying a bit about the Trinity (Father, Son, Holy Spirit). It's a bit complicated to explain here, but it would be an interesting thing for you to study.

God's peace be with you.

Christians are not confused, but referring to God in different salutations.

Examples. Ms. Miss Mrs. Mr. Dr. Sir, Knight, etc.

Different titles for the same God. Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
Jesus is the Son of God, Son of Man, The Word made Flesh, Wonderful Counselor, Prince of Peace, Mighty King!

All the same God Jesus the Christ (Messiah) or (Anointed)

The reason you think we are confused is that you don't understand our religion. Jesus is God and the son of God and the Holy Spirit. It is called the Holy Trinity. You are ignorant and confused. You follow a false prophet and can't even read your own book because it must be read in arabic and most muslims can't read arabic. Therefore, since most muslims can't read arabic, they must rely on their imams to interpret for them and every imam has a different interpretation. Muslims have no free will and must be told what to do and what to believe. That is the difference in the religions. Muhammad was too late to be a messenger of God, God was already revealed in the Torah and the New Testament. Muhammad was a charlatan and an evil manipulator of people. Muhammad built his religion on what he personally wanted life to be like.

Jesus Christ is Lord, the Only Begotten Son of God, the Atonement for our sins (He shed His Own Blood for the remission of our sins), and is the Resurrection (raised from the dead).

This is the foundational, the fundamental true Christian Faith. Eye witnesses of the resurrection would never deny Christ and were murdered for confessing the Good News of reconcilliation of mankind with God. Christian Martyrs. There are Christian Martyrs today with faith in Christ Resurrection & won't deny Jesus, the Son of God.

I am not confused. I was confused before Jesus Saved me from wrong thinking. Once we are born of God and pray to God in Spirit & Truth (honestly from our heart), God reveals God to us in our own reborn spirit. It is relationship with God. We can boldly come before the throne of Grace & Truth 24/7 in time of need, because Jesus shed blood has atoned for our sins. We inherit ever lasting life and Gods Kingdom and all that goes with it when we are born of God.

Don't think that you are rude. There are big foundational differences between Christianity & Islam. The Holy Bible LORD God loves you sooo much, and wants you to know Gods Truth. The Truth sets you free.

Christians say that Jesus is God and they also say Jesus is the Son of God. So the definition of God is Elohim or Elyh. Elyh/ ALH/ EL is singular of Elohim. Elohim is EKD/one LORD/ YHVH. This Christian believes Elohim/ God is Father, Word & Holy Spirit. Yet the Father can be called ELYH/ EL/ ALH or the Word can be called EL or the Holy Spirit can be called EL. All three are/ is ELHYM (Elohim created the heavens and the earth. Genesis 1).

Elohim said, "Let us make man in our image.". In the image of God was mankind created; body, soul & spirit.

Jesus is the Word part of Elohim. He came from heaven to earth. The Word became flesh and dwelt among us (John 1).

This concept was very difficult for me to understand when I first was delivered from a 1 yr breakdown. But God has revealed it to me, because God is my healer.

The verse for ever Christian born of God (born again, reborn spiritually) is1John 2:27 where the anointing we are anointed with is the Spirit of Truth that leads us into all truth and is not a liar. Every true born of God Christian is sealed with the Holy Spirit, and leads the new Christian when the Christian prays to God in restored relationship.

Also, I must admit that I do get confused at times, but then I pray to God about it. I learn to trust & obey God, and He gives me wisdom.

in Christianity, Jesus is considered the son of god and god, because in Christianity, the Holy Trinity is composed by a being and three persons (god father, god son, and god the holy ghost). Before accusing someone of being confused try to read what it is about, i don`t say that you have to agree with them but at least inform yourself before accusing..

There is truth in what you say, however let it also be understood that CONFUSION IS NOT SELECTIVE since it is also obvious among most other religious groups, including among Muslims --in your case.

For instance, there are questions and issues about the PRIORITIES OF ISLAM: Is it to propagate Peace throughout, or is it to wage War against all Infidels?? Are women meant to be subservient and be debased by the menfolk?? Is there any 'free will' allowed in terms of changing one's beliefs??

These are only a few of many other doctrinal matters that ALL MUSLIMS should be ready to respond cohesively in a UNIFIED manner.

Otherwise, people will similarly ask: "Are Muslims confused?"

Peace be with you.
