I'm making a web site for my mom. She is a chihuahua breeder. This is what I am planning to put on the site:
What page it is-what the page includes
________________________________
Home - general info.
Contact page - contact info
Kaylee (female)- her info,pictures,
Kaylees pups - her pups pic, info (all litters)
Shiloh(female) - her info,pictures,
Shilohs pups - her pups pic, info (all litters)
Kandi (female)-her info,pictures,
Kandi -her pups pic, info (all litters)
Cricket (male)-info pictures
Care for puppys-how to care for the puppy

I will spell every thing correct on the site.
If you as a dog owner have any more suggestions on things you would like to see on a site if you where looking to buy a puppy from my mom. (This site address will be on her business cards)

Thanks so much!

The person that said they wouldn't buy from a site like this- It isn't a site to try to sell her puppies. This site is for people in our area that would like to see pictures or that would like more information without calling.........I love everyone elses ideas!

You might want to put a page up with how to qualify for her puppies, puppy questionaire, etc. When I'm looking for a puppy, that's something I look for. You also might want to add if she ships her puppies to other states or countries, or if she requires the puppy to be picked up in person.
Hope this helps!

Also a good thing is put on there if your mom will take pups back if there is something wrong with the pups,,, thats always a good point to tell people,,, If your mom has a Contract that she wants people to sign then show an example of the contract,,, Also like the other answerer said that if your mom has a sheet that qualifies the person to get a puppy and if they dont qualifie then there should be website of a chihuahua rescues,,, I hope this helps and good luck with the website

I'm presuming that 'info' includes all of the health test results, and if it doesn't, it should. I don't know what are the common ones for Chis, but for the breeds I commonly deal with, that would include OFA or Penn Hip and CERF as the most prominent, with heart, thyroid, and others as bonuses that most breeders will (or should) have done but not all necessarily list on their sites.

Something else that would be a nice bonus, though not required, would be a page that describes those health tests and why they are important. I have a lot more trust and respect in breeders who take these things seriously and who make an active effort to educate people about the importance of health testing.

Don't worry about the dingbats calling her a BYB... these are the same kind of dim bulbs helping to enact spay and neuter laws for everyone except puppy mills. This kind of website is exactly what people should look for in an experienced breeder.

Your outline looks great. The only thing I might add would be a page of references or customer reviews of their positive experiences purchasing a pup from your mom. And maybe from those people put their email address so the page kind of acts as a list of references as well.

Thanks,

Don

Hi, you may also add if the dogs are registered, are the pups going to be guaranteed, are they raised inside the house around adults, children or both. If the pups have had their first set of shots & wormed. Whether or not they have been vet checked.Don't forget the costs of each pup.Good luck to you.

Everything sounds great just make sure that you put prices and UPDATE it all the time. When I was looking for my chihuahua on the internet it drove me insane when I'd find the perfect "puppy" only to find out the people haven't updated their website since 2003......hope everything goes great

You may also want to put what health tests the puppy's parents have certificates for, so future buyers will know they will get a puppy free from genetic diseases.
