I'm a Christian but I don't go to Church. My question to the people who are very religious is do you honestly think that people like Ted Bundy or Charles Manson will go to Heaven if they apologize or for Christians finally accept Jesus. I went through a very bitter divorce & I've done things that I know I will have to answer for & honestly it frightens me alittle. But I never physically abused or killed anyone, so I just wanted your opinion on whether the murders & people like me & you will end up in Heaven together?

I'm a muslim ( have been for 2 years now) I follow the rules of my faith does that make me "very" religious I'm not so sure but here is my 2 pence worth anyway. Everyone has the same chance in life to be accepted by God and to have there sins forgiven. Do these sort of people get into heaven? Well only God knows the answer to that but I'm suspecting NO! Not physically abusing someone is not a ticket to getting into heaven. I used to think but im a good person, I never hurt anybody, I'm polite and well mannered, help anyone who needs it am a loving person, never been in trouble with anyone ever. But when i started to study Islam you see its not quite so simple. You have to live your life praising God as he wants to be praised, live by his rules and then and only then you have a chance. There are hundreds of examples i could give you but my answer would take forever. Lets just say its kind of like if you knew you where going to get an A+ in an exam, would you study and work for it? Or would you just do nothing and take the A+? Very simplified but its something you have to earn, a place in heaven. God states not everyone is getting in and Hell is a place for the non believer to dwell. Just because I'm a muslim and worship like i should there is no way i think i have a pass. I just have to live my life the best i can within the guidence of Gods laws and hope and pray that on judgement day I will be granted in heaven. Nothing is for free either in this world or the hereafter. Good luck i found my true path and i hope you find yours too.

This is my belief, my opinion I guess...I believe in 3 levels of "heaven", Celestial, Terrestrial, Telestial.
I believe that all men (and women) have to have the chance at some point to either accept or reject the gospel. (That is a main reason why we as LDS do baptisms for the dead...) We do not know at what point, in this life or the next, their "chance" is so that is why we perform the saving ordinances for everyone.
I honestly think that people like Ted Bundy or Charles Manson probably won't ever accept the gospel and repent (where they are in spirit prison right now I believe) therefore, they will most likely go to the Telestial Kingdom...I do not think they were "bad" enough to go to outer darkness because I doubt they ever accepted Christ as their Savior then rejected him. We have the same attitudes/characteristics after we die because we still are the same spirit...so some people who are righteous people here I think will accept the gospel after this life, those who are not most likely will not and probably be in the Telestial or Terrestrial Kingdom...but of course I cannot say for SURE because no one knows except the Lord. People who are righteous enough but never accept the full gospel will go to the Terrestrial Kingdom.
It's always comforting to know we can repent and be better, we renew our baptismal covenants each week by taking the sacrament. We make covenants in the temple and are promised they will bind families together for all eternity, in the Celestial Kingdom, if we remain faithful to the covenants.

I know that if you are a christian, and believe whole heartily that Jesus died to take away your sins, you are definitely going to Heaven. In Gods eyes a lie is just as bad as murder; they are both sins. If you ask for forgiveness, and change your life style to follow God then your all set. If someone is not a christian and does a murder but then asks for forgiveness and becomes a christian, he is going to heaven. We have to welcome that person because every person was once a sinner. With the case of Ted or Charles, I couldn't say if they are going to heaven; I do not know their true hearts, whether or not they believe in God.

This is the reason we celebrate Christmas. Mankind had fallen into sin and was dead in it. Trapped with no way out. Yes some were more or less moral than others but all had rebelled against God. Jesus came to save sinners by paying the price of their sin which was death. All who Jesus died for have their sin forgiven, makes no difference. However its not merely apologizing or accepting on our part. This is a grave mistake by many and what causes some to misjudge Christianity because of so many "empty professors". The question is did God choose you and Make you alive again by His Spirit so that you being a new creature now know Jesus as your Savior and your Lord so that you belong to Him and seek to please Him. We don't look to how good or bad we are but are we a new creation in Christ

Hopefully no, try to stick to the Tenth Commandments and believe in goodness that will prevail the Evil, love the people beside you, help when asked or not, do trifle gests every day. That is soothing the soul and give Hope. I am also Christian and I do believe in God, but frankly I do not go frequently to Church.
If there is God, and He is the Almighty he will judge us when the time comes, it is impossible you , me ot other people not done anything too bad and sinful to go to Heaven together with murders.

Remember what said Corinthians: " Though I speak with the tongue of men and of angels, and have no charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal". ( here " charity" implies Universal Love). It's full of wisdom and insight.

Have a great day!

Isn't the Christian religion so unfair! But yes, if a person truly regrets his past sinful life and endeavors to serve God for the rest of his life (even if that is only a few weeks), God is willing to forgive and impute to them the righteousness of Christ. Consider the thief on the cross whom Jesus forgave. Jesus told him, "Truly I tell you today, you will be with me in paradise." Here is another quote (this time, from the Old Testament):

Isa 1:18 Come now, and let us reason together, saith Jehovah: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.

If we get to heaven, there will be no animosity. The one who was murdered will not hate the murderer.

What you're really asking: Are there different degrees of sin? Yes and no. However, when sins are forgiven, we all will be saved on the SAME basis: Christ's imputed righteousness. To God, is there a difference between the man who commits adultery with 6 women and the man who commits adultery with only one woman?

Yes, God will forgive you, but there is a way that the Bible lays out for you to find that place of forgivess--to have your sins remitted.

In the book of Acts, chapter two, Peter was preaching to people that they had killed the Messiah. Talk about heavy-duty conviction---it doesn't get worse than that! They asked what they should do. Peter said in verse 38 to "repent, and be baptized, everyone of you in the name of Jesus Christ FOR THE REMISSION OF SINS". Repentence means turning away from your sins. You ask God to forgive you and determine to lay your sins aside. Then, you are to be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ. Baptized means "dipped, plunged, or immersed"...and it's symbollic of burial of the "old man". Then you receive the baptism of the Holy Ghost... when you do, it will be like it was in the first few verses of Acts chapter two...read it and see what happened. This is what Jesus called being born again, of water and of the spirit, in John 3:3-5. E-mail me at northdude7@yahoo.com if you'd like more information or to discuss this further.

If you are truly sorry for the things you have committed that have offended God. Divine justice must still be paid, to the last penny, but Jesus gave you the opportunity for complete renewal.

Confess your faults, ask for forgiveness, make recompense for your action, and sin no more.

God's mercy endures forever.

Charles Manson still has the opportunity for salvation, Ted Bundy is deceased so I am uncertain if he asked, Charles Dalhmer repented for his mass murdering and if sincere I believe God forgave him. Each will still face Divine justice.

If you're a Christian (meaning you have accepted Jesus' sacrifice for your sins), you already know. His grace is available to anyone who sincerely asks for it - murderer, rapist, thief, & even those who were simply born in sin & did nothing else.

No sin is greater than any other, in God's judgement, although many are discussed in terms of their consequences in Scripture.

There's also no separation in Heaven. One is either there or not.

Any sins you commit after salvation will be chastised before death. If God has already judged you righteous by Jesus' sacrifice, you're clean. The "judgement" once we are in Heaven is for works done for the sake & furtherment of God's Kingdom.

if you only have as little as one smoldering truth of G-D, G-D shall not snuff it out nor abandon you. do not worry about going to Heaven. but try to concentrate on what is realy, realy, realy true to G-D, and not what is considered as true to organized religions. even though i realize it is not easy to know the truth of G-D, in a world with this many liars. the most a murderer can expect is to be returned here again, to try and over come their hostility against their brothers and sisters of adam and chaooah. worse case is probably to be returned to eternal torture and torment, or oblivion. but to obtain oblivion, you have to say there is no G-D, along with other life offences. your divorce is not a problem, which might mean this is not your true soul mate. so don't get angry at TheG-D WHO is trying to tell you this. those who believe in TheG-D shall eventualy make it to Heaven on Earth as it is in Heaven, or The Beyond.
