The Bible is NOT A MYTH, never was. God inspired 40 men through the Holy Spirit to write the Bible. It has survived through over 2000 years with it's historical accuracy intact. Meaning, it is also a history book, that has been proven to be true. Archeology digs have found many sites from the Bible, scientists have proven many facts in the Bible. I think you should really do more research on the Bible and it's contents, and the land Jesus lived in when He was on Earth, and then come back and re-do this question.

You really shouldn't insult people, especially when they have a better knowledge then you. Or should I say, when you don't know the subject at all.

What you have to understand, is that at the time when Jesus was on earth, People were mostly illiterate. Because Jesus wanted to explain about God and the creation etc. to thede people he has to explain it as you would explain things to a small child. We are told that God created the world in 6 days. Well, how long was a day then. There was no calender then. We are also told that methusala lived for hundreds of years, so how long was a year then. With our Bible, you must read between the lines

The bible is an amazing ancient piece of literature. It is a history, in part, and claims to be true. Our job is to determine whether that might be the case, or if its just a bunch of malarkey! I would like to think that I have half a brain, and I have studied these topics a lot, and found it takes a lot more to believe it may NOT be true. That is just what I have found.

probably in the dark ages when the church ran all of the european countries and they interpreted the bible as they wanted. this was also the time when dragons were thought of as real and magic and witches were everywhere. i relate the bible to something like "The Odessy", because it is written about real places and events, but since they had no scientific explination for the events that occured, they attributed everything to god.

Okay man. Read the bible more. Were you there 1500 years ago??????????? NO. You will only live (depending on your age) maybe 80 more years. You better pray to the one who created you----GOD. Look at the damn signs?! There are earthquakes, volcanos, snowstorms, fires, tornados, sunamis, cancer, sickenesses, diseases, terrorist, wars, and the list goes on!!! all OVER THE WORLD!!!!! Just becaus you may be living "good life" and everything is comfy and "cozy" now, it is only temporary, and we must TRUST years of FACTS. The bible is the oldest living book in alll of mankind. Its Earths Manual to why we exist. Wake up for once please!!!!!

Well, I consider them a good collection of stories about moral values etc. I think it belongs with Homer, Shakesphere, and other great books.
