It's a little creepy. It probably doesn't mean he is a pedophile or wants to sleep with his daughter, but he needs to realize that his little girl isn't so little anymore and he needs to start treating her like a young lady which means hands off the butt.

Yes it is wrong. That is crossing a line that should never be crossed. What does the daughter say about this. Does it make her feel uncomfortable? Has anyone in the family made any comments. For a father to do this over and over there is definitely something wrong. This compulsion could grow into something stronger. Grabbing her butt may not be enough and then what will happen. Say something to him if you are a family member if it bothers you. If it is you who is doing this then you know it is and you are looking for someone to tell you that it is alright. Either way it needs to stop.

It is highly inappropriate to do so. At age 12, she is an adolescent, and it would be a bad idea to do anything that would "sexualize" her.
Parents need to realize that if they did things to other adults that they do to their kids, they would get arrested. When that would be the case, it's probably something they shouldn't do to their kids either.
In today's society, women are stereotyped, sexualized, objectified, categorized, treated like objects and decorations, discriminated against, and undervalued.
It is your duty as her father, to reinforce all of the wonderful and redeeming qualities she has, and to constantly try to prove to her that she is valuable and worthy of the same respect as men are.
There is no excuse, stairs or not, playfully or not, to treat your daughter like a sexual object. You would probably press charges if the neighbor's husband did the same thing to her. You would surely be arrested if you went to her school and did that to some girl you don't know.
In light of al that, you shouldn't behave that way with your daughter. What does her mother think of your behavior anyway? Or it that something you don't do when her mother is around? If that's the case, then you know it's wrong anyway.
If you feel compelled to sexualize your daughter, then you shouls seek counseling or a support group before you do something mor harmful to her.

YES! There is NEVER a reason or excuse for A Father or anyone for that matter to touch a child's or any child's body in any way. Keep your eye's opened from now on. Don't wait for something even worse to happen!

Yes it is wrong. At age 12, she is too old to have her father play those games with her. Her father need to stop this.

If he's doing it playfully its ok, but he should be careful since it can be taken the wrong way. Of course if its in a sexual way he definitely shouldnt.

That's definitely wrong. He should not touch you there much less grab your butt over and over again. Don't ever let him touch you like that again.

Yes it Is most defiantly wrong if a father is doing it in a sexual manner. But if he is a playful man in general it MIGHT be an Innocent playful gesture. If you KNOW that the father is getting sexual pleasure from this action, it NEEDS to be stopped INSTANTLY.

i think that he is some kinda sick and wrong u can keep ur eye on him and try 2undrestand the way dat he look's at her to know it might help u knowing if he mean anything by dat but it is for sure wrong to grap a 12 years old child doghter or not .

well, im 11 my dad does it playfully every oncein a while, but never EVER sexually, i would be creeped out and call the cops, but he only oes that when we laughed together, or im not going up to my room, and its time to sleep, so basicly everyonce in a while its ok.
