As a dog obedience instructor of 30+ years I have seen many dogs change from unruly monsters into absolute angels in one of my 9 week courses. I highly recommend that you invest in obedience classes. You will be very pleased in the behavior of your dog as you and he/she become bonded and learn to respect each other during this time together.

Obedience classes may help. Some dogs cannot function in a group and become unruly. If this is the case, try to get someone to come to your home and SHOW you the proper way to help train your dog.

Look up NILIF (Nothing In Life Is Free). It is an awesome style of training where they have to work for everything. They want food? Hold the bowl and make them Sit and Stay before you put the bowl down. They want to go outside? Make them Sit and Lay Down before you put the leash on them. They want to play ball? Make them heel or Lay down before you throw the ball. It helps to keep their attention focused.

Also, the more you walk your dog, the more he uses his extra energy. Long walks and lots of playtime are the keys to making sure that he doens't have pent up energy and go nuts. Good luck!

go to an obedience class to see if your dog can settle down. there is also a number of books you can get. if this doesn't help go to the vet and see what they say.

i have had dogs since i was born and currently have 3. i had an aggressive male lab, and i went to the vet, and they told me to go to an obedience class, then try reading up on it, then come back if i still had the problem. in the end, he ended up going to a different family. he bit their little girl in the face, so he had to be put to sleep. i hope you can your dog under control before this happens.

please e-mail me back! i want to know what happens! good luck

I believe if you can't control your dog.It is time to take your dog to a dog obedience class. Your dog will learn
to behave and you will have control of your dog .

I do email consults, behavior evals, temperment testing, and basic obedience.

Please do not get a choke collar. Most people use these incorrectly and they can and do cause a lot of harm to the dog.
