Why are you so angry? Surly it is up to everyone as a individual to believe what they want to,(as long as this is not harming others) if people end up looking stupid or changing there faith then it is their problem. Your question isn't that convincing either, first you are convinced that nothing is going to happen then you ask how long we will wait after it has happened? Have you looked into ALL religion? a little knowledge is a dangerous thing. May i suggest a religion that believe in God not just Jesus, and teaches love and understanding.

Even if for the sake of arguement a Jesus would return today what could he possibly do? At the absolute best he could tell people that how they could attain peace. However if people do not choose to follow that instruction then the goal of peace could not be attained.

The only other option and this is the one I see Christians in favor of and it makes me shutter is that Jesus would return and wipe out human freewill. Only by rendering us mindless puppets of God could a Jesus or God force us to behave in ways that we would not choose to. This is the only way that some crazy people (The religious) can be stopped from their madness of killing in the name of their delusion!

1) Well, how will I ever know that Jesus isn't coming back?
2) The Truth isn't dictated by State support of religion, neither is my belief in the Truth.

That is what I am waiting for... it is one of the signs that Jesus is coming back when I am tortured by those who ask me why I have faith and where is the promise of his coming.

W are no one to judge what how when and where things will be like for the future, "for how you judged, you will be judged". Were a spec of dust just like evryone else who don't know any more then from what our faith truly leads us too....

Sorry. The government's religious decisions have nothing to do with my faith.

What will you do when it turns out you are wrong?
