Will a game that was made in 1996 (amber journeys beyond) that was made for windows 95 play in windows xp?

i want to buy this game and thats why i need to know if its gonna work.

Maybe, perhaps, not sure, you just have to try it. Install the program then use windows explorer to navigate to the program folder. Find the "executable" for the program (the file that runs) and right click on it. Select compatibility and change the conditions to fit your program. No guarantees but this works with a number of programs written for win 95/98

i dont think so, ihave a bunch of old games win 95 they all would run fine, then upgraded to win 98 then only half of them would run, then i bought a new machine win xp now none of them work. i keep and old computer just to play the old games. good luck

Not sure. There may be an emulator that would help, though.
