Being a Christian is completely submission to Gods will. When Jesus lived on this earth it was no different. What He was saying here is that He's completely submitted to His Fathers will and purpose for Him. If Jesus did things on His own He would be disobeying His Father. Also, by saying, "I Myself can do nothing" means that Jesus realized and led by example the fact that we are nothing outside of God. If it weren't for the grace of God we'd all perish.

Through God Jesus brought hope to us by means of sacrifice... enduring great suffering before his agonizing death... Jesus proved that a perfect man possessing free will could keep perfect integrity to God no matter what the devil did.

We are all sinners but through Jesus' ransom sacrifice we can receive "the forgiveness of our sins". To gain that forgiveness we must be truly repentant... That was the greatest gift to us from God. Bless!

"The wages of sin is death" We've all sinned, so Jesus died for us, and since He never sinned, it was good enough to save everyone! That's exciting! So people accept that free gift of life that He gave, and then He becomes their Saviour!

He can not save us if we have not accepted His gracious gift of salvation, the choice is ours to accept or reject it. Because He is our only salvation, He is also our only Judge.

Joh 5:30
I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me. (KJV)

You shouldn't be knocking the christians man, you have a lot in common with them. Unfounded belief in a non-existent god for starters. Your crazy book came after their crazy book. Without them you would be nothing.
