Some long winded and not very feasible explanation will arise from the depths of religious groups, no doubt.

This is something that I never worry about because this is something that will never, ever happen. The only other life in this universe, aside from the life on this planet and of course God Himself, is angelic and demonic life. If there was life on other planets then Christ would've had to have gone there and sacrificed Himself for their sins, too, and the Bible would've definitely mentioned that fact. But God so loved the world -this world and no other, that He gave His only begotten Son. In order for life as we know it to be possible elsewhere, another planet would have to be created exactly the same as Earth and there is only evidence to show that life on other planets is impossible because of hostile environments. UFOs are not a recent discovery, they are mentioned in the OT. The difference is that the Bible tells us what these UFOs are, angelic beings of one form or another. Just read the book of Ezekiel sometime and you'll see vivid descriptions of UFOs, along with an explanation of what they are.
PS. I'm always amazed how people are willing to fall for garbage like ETs and then have the nerve to accuse Christianity of believing myths and having no support for their faith. It just goes to prove that those who believe in nothing will fall for anything. Do you not realize that Satan can imitate anything he wants -as can his demons- in order to lead us astray? Do you not realize that anyone who has claimed a close encounter of the third kind has always, without exception, received anti-Biblical, anti-Christian and anti-God messages from the alleged aliens? Also, without exception, these same individuals have displayed obvious signs of demonic possession/oppression and severe mental problems.

Cope? I don't understand the use of that word. As a Christian, it will have no impact. It is still true, regardless of whether there is life, intelligent or otherwise on another planet.

As I have no religion, just a personal relationship with Jesus, I will cope just fine. Life on other worlds does not have anything to do with my walk with Him.

People have asked me this question before and all I can say is that it reinforces my faith in a God, who is the creator of all creation. It's a little arrogant to believe that God made us in this vast universe to be the only creation that is around...don't you think? I mean we know that God is the creator of what is seen and unseen. Think about the angels that are celestial beings that we can't see because they are in the spirit world...we can't qualify or quantify them, much less the infinite galaxies with infinite solar systems with planets that may contain life forms... It's all good, what is important is to know Jesus Christ and receive Him as King!

Let's just wait and see what happens as far as finding life on other planets goes first. I guess the moon is made of green cheese, too.

As far as Wicca is concerned, the idea that there is life on other worlds is just fine. We are not programed to believe that only one planet in all the universe has life.

"other planets" in our solar system? In another solar system in our galaxy the Milky Way? In another galaxy?

I have news for you. Christians, based on the Bible, do accept that there are people who exist in other parts of the universe. And they are intensely interested in what is happening on Earth. Life there is somewhat similar to what it would have been on Earth if Adam and Eve had not sinned.

personally won't bother me any at all. mortals here would have to have a humongous ego to think out of all the stars and planets this one is the only planet with intelligent ( ? ) life on it.

It will stumble, as a whole people, but who is to say that life is another creation we know not? Could it be a misdirection to ease the thought of non-God produced life as proof of God's non-existence?
