He is 7 1/2 months old but he seems tougher than most cats cuz Ive had lots of cats before. He is VERY hyper and he always runs through the hallway and is CRAZY. So today he was running around
and he didnt see me and he ran into my ankle bone...and im sure it hurt cuz it hurt me and he hit his eye. So I went to see if he was OK and he was meowing really loud in pain like three times and was closing his eye so I was conforting him and then he just walked away like nothing happened and started running and being
hiper again? I don't think he ever learns his mistakes because one time he was on the rocking chair up high and he fell off on his side and was coughing a lot. And one time he was playing with a necklace that was hanging on the wall from a hanger and he jumped and hit his face on the mirror and hurt his eye and his nose and kept sneezing and meowing. He is always getting HURT!!!
And he went into a SMALL closet in the living room and my mom
didnt see him and he ended up being in...

Yes, I think he's just got a different personality and he's still a kitten... so he'll either grow out of it or he'll just be precious to you.

As someone who lives with 7 cats, I would say that it is part of the nature of felines to be hyper for some of the time, but then sleep for 16 hours out of 24, although it is unusual for a cat to hit something when they are running hither and yon - they can skid to a dead halt in a millisecond. Look at the way they can walk along a shelf carefully avoiding all the ornaments. If a cat does something like yours did and fall of a chair by mistake, they will get dreadfully embarrassed and may make noises to cover that up. Our cats often do that - fall of chairs - they get so deeply asleep that they don't know what they are doing, they shuffle around in their sleep and sometimes fall. When yours was batting the necklace near a mirror, he will not have known it was a that - cats don't know what mirrors are and he may have leapt at it thinking it was another cat to attack or play with. Again the sneezing may be embarrassment. He's only 7 1/2 months old - that's about naughty teenage in cat life so he's doing just what I would expect. Our little Spikey who is about 5 months old does similar things to yours. He will lie in wait to hit the bigger cats, jump on the coffee table and slide right across it and fall off the other end. The other night my wife had left two teabags out for the morning, he pulled them off the work top, managed to rip one open and got tea all over the living room floor! Don't worry!

He's normal- if extremely energetic! We used to have a cat who would do that kind of thing. We could always tell when he was mad about something: He would run up and down the hallway then bound aroudn the livingroom on the backs of the chairs- as in, where you rest your back, not the tops of them.

Besides, your cat is still a kitten. So he's going to be frisky.

He does sound like a crazy cat. But seriously, he probably just needs his own toys, and a scratching pole, also, you might need to take time during the day or nite and play with him, so some of that energy can be exhausted. He is just bored, needs more things to do. As for your older cat he might not be bothered with the little cat, he is older, is a good think that the older cat has patience with him and has not hurt him. Give the older cat time to be by himself, separate them for a few hours a day. That should work, I hope...Good luck.

Shiloh is about 5 years old now. Our cat is kind of like that too. He also has some dog characteristics; he likes to play fetch and he eats manderine oranges and green peas!!!! He will run through the house making a meowing sound like a freight train.

In conclusion, no he is not normal, but he's not the only one!!

He's normal. Most of my own cat's kittens were like that. They have a lot of pent up energy. When my cat was younger she used to be inadvertently locked in a room and then all we would hear was meowing.
Try playing with your kitten for longer periods of time, it may release some of that crazy energy. He will mellow out once he is a bit older, and you'll miss some of that crazy behaviour.

my cat hugo around the same age, got caught in the blinds, we had to cut him out, broke his leg playing chicken with a car, dislocated his tail three times, not even sure how. he is always getting hurt. the vet told me that male cats are less cautious than female cats. i'm always so embarassed to take him to the vet since hes a regular. its not really normal but there are people out there with a crazy, accident prone kitty. he'll get lazier when hes older and you should have less accidents.

all cats are normal (for a cat). my 9 year old russian blue runs around and wants to be chased (it is somekind of game with her)
every so often she just looses her mind and runs around maniacally, grabbing the furniture and looking around all owl-eyed and crazy, that is a cat for you.
but a trip to the vet never hurt anything, with a short stop at the yogurt stand for treats on the way home.

He's just a typical mischievous, high energy feline. Enjoy his playfulness - it's fun. But at the same time, make sure you keep a good eye on him in case he really does injure himself!

I think that he is just a hyper, happy kitten who loves to play and he is just a baby he will learn soon that he is not able to play so rough it will pass slowy as he gets older, and then he is a boy!
