I have always wondered this myself. They should be in the science fiction area, do you agree?

Athieism is not a religion, it is a lace there of.

Atheists are on here because it's fun to irritate and annoy the religious fanatics. I say you believe whatever you want to believe, as long as you don't push it on other people and as long as you can form an independent thought. The answers people give in this section usual confirm that religious persons can not form an independent thought. Quoting scripture or spouting out bible versus is not your thoughts. You may agree with what is being said, but you are not putting it into your own words. So this is why there are so many of us here. We enjoy flexing our mental muscle and forming a thought of our own.

It's probably because there is no section for athiests anywhere so they have no where else to go. Also, when people ask athiests their religion, they answer atheism because that's what they believe, so they don't see any problem posting in the Religious forum.

And finally, whether or not athiests post in the religious forum should not be an issue because they are just trying to express their ideas on religion, just as everyone else is.

Every human has a spirit whether he/she believes in a god or not. A lot of people who are atheists find the study of religion very interesting. Some just come to debate. Some come to antagonize. This is a public forum and anybody can be here.

Because they have nowhere else to go. They need a place to shove their beliefs or is it non beliefs on other people, and from the look around her, the Christians.
Atheist, a person wouldn't bother to annoy another unless they know they have more to offer than you and you don't. You have today and nothing after that. That is too bad, because life has so much to offer and you are limiting yourself with what is going with you now, and that is all. I feel sad for you. Anyhow, I hope at the very least you are happy with you life now. Peace and out.

I should add that not all of you like that, I am only speaking of those who love to disrespect others. Not all of you.

Let ask you please. What makes you any different than those who believe in God. You don't believe in God, and you want everyone to stop believing in God just like you, but you have to add some insults with it. Those who believe in God want you to believe in him. Do you see, you are no different, only some of you lack the dignity of respecting others, and some of you use the name of the Lords to mock him and insults us. Thanks a lot!!! :(

A question asked many times, you might as well ask why religious people visit the science section.

Because this is the section for asking questions pertaining to religion, not a "members only club" for the religious and spiritual.

Why do you think atheists wouldn't have questions and answers just like believers?

Do you realize how often you christers ask this question? It is not a section just for Jeezzuzz. It is for people to ask about and answer religious questions. The unbelievers have just as valid reasons to be here as you do. Likely better reasons.

We're the control experiment. Any religion depends on faith. We require believers to justify their faith by presenting facts that test that faith. Surely that should just make those who believe stronger in their faith, or open them up to a different view. That's healthy, isn't it?
