In response to the several malicious posted here:
Softpedia *does* have a testing policy for the posted software.
Before being posted, all new or updated programs are downloaded from the producer's website, installed, tested and scanned with several industry-leading security solutions.
Software that is found free from any kind of malware or adware is marked as "100% Free" (for freeware) or "100% Clean" (for shareware/demo/trial).
If the tested program contains viruses/trojans or the like, it is *not* posted, or it is removed if it was an update to an existing Softpedia software listing.
If the test reveals toolbars or other forms of adware, the program is posted but is clearly marked with a notice that informs the user about the third-party components included.
One more thing to note: there are some rare cases when a program is marked as clean but users find that it contains adware or the like. This happens because the developer of the program changed the software installation kit without informing us, therefore we could not test the updated file.
Hopefully this clears up the discussion.

It may have taken a while, but finally the site is green. Softpedia's willingness to remove anything malicious as soon as it is reported is more than a counter to a few bad apples in the whole bunch.

At last. Rated green. To all you people out there who don't like it, why don't you only download the software with the icon that says it has been tested? Everything on it with this stamp is fine, just don't download the things that say "Adware is included"

i take advantage of both internet Explorer and Firefox. I loved Firefox for its Tabs specifically. the hot IE 7 is extremely somewhat clone of Firefox in each and every way yet has extra useful integration with IE 6 properly matched web pages. I actually have got here upon that now and again IE7 does close itself with out note, yet no longer very commonly and commonly it freezes for some seconds yet then resumes. A small cost to pay for the better function. the perfect element that IE7 does is to maintain a set of Tabs mutually, this facilitates you to renew analyze on each and every of the web pages you had open on the time of Bookmark. I also like a thanks to print an internet-web page or keep an internet-web page. The zoom out and in function is likewise neat.
