Your puppy is only 6 months old - keep giving him a regular grooming and his coat will grow. It would be good for his skin and coat to give him either 1 tablespoon of veg. oil on his food or a salmon oil capsule every day, especially in the dry winter months.
As for eating poop, lots of puppies do it and most outgrow it. Clean up your own yard so he doesn't get the chance and never let him eat any other dog's - just pull him away and say no.

Not sure about the coat but dogs eat poo if it smells any undigested food in there. Cat poop has a lot of undigested protein, that's why they go nuts for it.

Looks like you're stuck with a naked, poo-eating hound. Let him outside more often to thicken his coat.

really!! i like eating poo to jkjk but my veterenarian told me that there is still bits of food they hasnt been digested yet so they go nuts for it
