I'm currently studying the Holy Bible (New Testament). It's filled with Spiritual nuggets to live by.
I would recommend for the new believer to start with the book of John. Read it a couple of times. WOW! It's totally awesome!!!
For the believer that would like to know how to study the Holy Bible, I would start with Jude (book before Revelation) and work my way back to Matthew...one book at a time. WOW, again great nuggets of amazing information and talk about revelation? It's very revealing! It's the greatest love story every told.
I'm also reading "Look Great, Feel Great" by Joyce Meyer. That's a good book as well. I like that it has Biblical text to back it up.

A novel that won the Hugo award in 2005. Not a light read, densely written. About 800 pages.

"Be Here Now" By Ram Dass. Ram Dass tells the tale of how he and his professor collegues of Harvard experiemented with LSD and psylocibin and facilitated "spiritual" experiences in which they held direct communion with god as well as case studies such as a group of clergymen who also held communion with god while under these drugs.
Ram Dass becomes frustrated however because the drugs do not facilitate a permanent elevation in psychological states. After being fired at harvard and touring the country lecturing on drugs he's offered a free trip to India and so he decides to go with an entire bottle of LSD to give to the masters he may encounter so that they might be able to better explain his experiences to him and to assist him in achieving a higher state of human consciousness.

C.S.Lewis wrote a book called 'The Screwtape Letters'
It is a collection of letters from a lesser Demon, assigned to a mortal, to a greater demon, who instructs him on how to corrupt the mortal, how to understand the man's nature and weaknesses in spiritual matters.
