Tortilla chips: chunky guacamole or salsa
Plain potato chips: Hiland French Onion Dip (Never Dean's or the kind from a mix)
But if I'm at a football game, you gotta get the chilli cheese nachos with the fake cheese from the concession stand! So good, in a terrible way.

Lay's potato chips w/a Hershey Bar. Thee best!!
For a savory treat I like potato chips with cottage cheese as a dip. Also thee best!!
And the best chip dip is an old recipe from, maybe, the '70's. Dump one large carton of sour cream into a bowl and mix in one envelope Lipton's Onion Soup Mix. It is the best. It's nice and creamy not all watery like those already prepared French onion dips.

My favorite is guacamole dip. Here is my recipe:
Cut the skin of the avocado only in half, then peel and save the seed.
Mash your avocados well using a fork.
Slowly add a very small amount of mayonnaise (really).
A squirt of lemon juice.
Very tiny small cut up tomatoes.
Add a few onions if you like the taste or can leave them out.
Also can add Cumen (also known as ground Comino)(good taste if you like it). It adds a little authentic Mexican taste).
Add salt as desired, and taste until you get it right. Keep the seed in the dip to dispel the brown.
This recipe was given to me by a Mexican friend. Most people don't use the mayonnaise but try it and see if you like. If you don't just leave it out.

With normal chips nothing except for can of Coke or Pepsi.
For taco chips definitely cheese dip or salsa.

I like tortilla chips with a cheese dip, salsa, or guacamole. If I am going to eat corn or potato chips, usually nothing. Cheetos are great by themselves. They do not neet a dip.

Well, I love to eat my chips with salsa, and hot dip. But the best thing to eat with your chips is cold medium salsa.
