I work in shifts (8hrs per day). I have different shift every third day. This disturbs my biological clock. How can I avoid mouth ulcers due to incomplete sleep... Vitamin B-complex tablets help at times but not always.
I don't wish to change my job so please don't give that as an answer.

Good oral hygiene may help in the prevention of some types of mouth ulcers or complications from mouth ulcers. This includes brushing the teeth at least twice per day, flossing at least daily, and regular professional dental cleaning and examination. Take extra zinc and non-ascorbic acid vitamin c to help your immunity.

After you eat, brush teeth gently and use one of the new non alcohol mouthwashes. I also take a Tum after eating to neutralize the extra acid in my stomach when I am having this problem. Since taking the vitamin c and extra zinc, and Tums after eating, my mouth has not been having the mouth ulcers.

Avoid spicy and sour foods until the ulcers heal
Drink plenty of fluids
Regularly rinse your mouth out with warm, slightly salted water
Keep the mouth clean
Apply antiseptic gel to the ulcers
Use a medicated mouthwash

You shouldn't have to change your job. First of all, do you smoke, drink alcohol, or drink coffee? These three things can exacerbate an inflammatory condition like canker sores. If not, it's probably due to being stressed and possibly being a little over acidic with the PH of your blood. Try this: when the ulcers appear, start eating either black cherries, prunes, or drinking Aloe Vera. Try to find George's brand aloe vera because it doesn't have the bad taste of other brands. If the canker sores go away, it will be due to the high potassium values in either of these foods correcting your PH levels. If you want to accelerate healing, take a good vitamin C supplement and maybe some amino acids. These both help with inflammation and tissue repair. Good luck.

i worked shifts for 9 years(starting times at 03:30 and finishing times at 01:00).
I found that using a mouthwash when i got home before i went to bed helped control ulcers.
You could also try taking pure orange juice to work or take vitamin b

I used to get those all of the time! They were awful. I rinse with Listerine every day and I haven't gotten one in years. I don't know if this will help you but it's worth a try!
