We need to be praying for our middle eastern brothers and sisters why? Because we are all part of God's creation. Do you remember what our Lord Jesus said? "Pray for all men. Forgive your enemies especially does that dispitefully use you" We need to let go of 9/11 and forgive. The blood of Jesus has atoned for all our race and that includes the people of the islamic culture. We may not all be of the same religion but we can love them and pray for them at this time of their greatest need. The bombs and bullets does not pick anyone--old as well as young, men as well as women will die and they will die in their thousands without any chance of been saved. Let's pray that Jehovah Shalom, the God of peace, will send his peace into Iraq and Lebanon and Palestine. No-body can fix these problems except Jehovah. He will do it if we collectively pray.

Those among the Christian Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses do more than just pray about that Jehovah will bring peace... ...globally Jehovah's Witnesses work hard to teach their neighbors the bible's ASSURANCES that God's Kingdom will soon replace all earthly governments and bring perfect peace.
(Daniel 2:44) God of heaven will set up a kingdom... It will crush and put an end to all these kingdoms, and it itself will stand to times indefinite

That Kingdom will rule over the vast majority of mankind, most of whom will have been raised from the dead after Armageddon.
(John 11:23,24) Jesus said to her: “Your brother will rise.” Martha said to him: “I know he will rise in the resurrection on the last day.”
(Acts 24:15) There is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous.

Until that resurrection, there is no suffering in "hell", or the grave. Sometime after the resurrection, death and "hell" will themselves be destroyed.
(Ecclesiastes 9:5) For the living are conscious that they will die; but as for the dead, they are conscious of nothing at all
(Ecclesiastes 9:10) there is no work nor devising nor knowledge nor wisdom in Sheol ["hell"]
(Revelation 20:14) And death and Hades ["hell"] were hurled into the lake of fire

While a limitted number of humans will be resurrected to heaven to share in ruling over mankind, the vast majority (literally more than 99.9%) of Jehovah's Witnesses expect an EARTHLY hope, the same hope given to Adam and Eve.
(Genesis 1:28) God blessed them and God said to them: “Be fruitful and become many and fill THE EARTH and subdue it [caps added]
(Genesis 2:17) You must not eat from it, for in the day you eat from it you will positively die [so never eating from that tree means never dying]

Interestingly, the Scriptures are full of references to this earthly hope.
(Psalms 37:11) 'the meek will possess the earth'
(Proverbs 2:21) 'upright will reside in the earth'
(Isaiah 45:18) 'God formed the earth to be inhabited'
(Matthew 5:5) 'the mild will inherit the earth'
(Revelation 21:3) The tent of God is with mankind

I pray for everyone. The whole world in fact. I was raised Christian and believe in the good ideals that Jesus taught, but I also like Buddhism as well as new age stuff too, so I really don't fit with any religion. But, I do belive thoughts have power as well as prayers. I try to pray for the Afghani women who are so oppressed over there, as well as all oppressed people. I visualize a beautiful white light of protection around them.

Save the world, change yourself.

Daily. For them and for our military and those that fight along side with our troops. With all the bashing that you see and hear in the news (and on here at times) it is refreshing to see the answers so far here that include them in their prayers. We have two over there serving and it is heart breaking to get updates from them regarding the locals and what those that are desirous of a peaceful future go through. God bless you all. faith has been a dividing aspect contained in the international for a lengthy time period. Islam isn't responsible for the activities of 9/11. the human beings that did it are responsible. Many Muslims lost their lives contained in the towers that day. Do you imagine they deserved it in view that they practiced such an evil faith? It saddens me to imagine that persons nevertheless blame all Muslims for this. Why won't be able to we attain out a hand in friendship to one yet another, truly of attempting to kill one yet another?

Of course I do. I pray for our soldiers and for the soldiers fighting for the cause they believe in from the middle east. I pray that we all behave with honor. I pray for the family and friends of the soldiers from both sides. I pray for the innocents caught in this unholy war. Don't you?
