many human beings look for a speedy and ordinary answer to spring into action. Osama Bin encumbered in Afganistan could have been sufficient to try this wisely. This Iraqi conflict undertaking has no longer something to do with 9/11. Iraq and Saddam had much less to do with it than did Syria, Saudi Arabia or Iran. those 30% have been offered a invoice of things and can't see for themselves what the data are. yet they are the minority, international!

Easy, George W Bush thought his dad (George H W Bush) blew his ratings and lead as a "wartime president" and swore he would not do the same. He also wanted to show his dad up for not going into Bagdad-- so...when 9/11 occurred, he seized the opportunity and played on people's fear to attack Iraq. Out of stupidity, he thought he was would be over in a few days this, despite information to the contrary from the pentagon As a Viet Nam was draft dodger, what did he konw?

According to intelligence received at the time, Saddam Hussein, who was then president of Iraq, was harboring and supporting terrorists. He was also accused of providing a safe haven for terrorist training camps in addition to providing financial support. The invasion of Iraq occurred in part for this connection. The primary reason for invading Iraq was because of Iraq's failure to comply with several UN resolutions, including full disclosure of any and all weapons of mass destruction, after his defeat in the Gulf War. As to why Bin Laden has never been caught, it is a mystery to many. With his resources he has the ability to move around a lot and apparently has many loyal supporters. Afghanistan is a big country. Finding one man in a country as big as Texas is a challenging feat.

Just because we invaded Iraq doesn't mean they had anything to do with 9/11 (which it didn't). We declared a War on Terrorism, and since Saddam put the people of his country under fear and murders, and was actually threatening to bomb the US he falls under the category of terrorist, and since we are at war with terrorism, we went to war with Saddam.
As for why we have not YET captured Osama: You have to realize that Afghanistan is a fairly good sized country, with lots of mountains, and not to mention thousands of people that want to protect bin Laden.
Imagine it as a game of hide-and-go-seek, It can be very difficult to find someone hiding on your street, imagine looking for them when they could be anywhere in an entire country. And this is all assuming he is still in Afghanistan.

nothing, we r there to enforce sanctions developed by the UN concerning weapons of mass destruction. They wouldnt let UN inspectors do their jobs (searching for Weapons of Mass Destruction WMD)so a cooilition was formed by the US and mainly the US. The war in IRAQ escalated thru the loosely governed borders because it gives religious fanatics a reason to fight. THey go to where they can kill americans. Ignorance is what it is. However now Al Quida has a foothold in iraq only cus there was an opportunity there for them to spread their twisted versions of islam to ignorant people who dont know any better thuss recruiting for their organization. then again it was the right time to ..............wag the dog

Nothing at all. Iraq was only invaded to divert attention from the failure to get bin Laden and to control more oil

The thing that you need to understand , first of all the war in Iraq has some objectives which makes it the best diversion for the American public . Secondly , There is a much bigger war going on in Afghanistan right now . This is not publicized as much because the Govt. wants to divert our attention off the target to maintain some degree of confidence and precision in their efforts .

Iraq had nothing to do with 9-11. We were wrong for going into Iraq and we will pay a heavy price for that. Osama is still on the loose and we ( USA ) cannot or will never be able to find him. ( I do hope I am wrong about this )

Iraq had NOTHING to do with it. It was a 3-pronged attack:
(1) To get revenge on Saddam Hussien, a CIA operative, for trying to assasinate Bush's dad
(2) To grab the oil fields of Iraq and use them for the US as a private oil reserve
(3) To provide lucrative defense contracts to all of Bush's buddies
As to why Bin Laden still remains free:
(1) Bin Laden is a personal friend of Bush, a flying buddy of Bush, and the Bin Laden family is a Bush family friend
(2) When snipers had Bin Laden in their sights the higher ups in the military sat on the call coming in and refused to give the orders to fire
(3) Bin Laden currently enjoys covert CIA protection - he is probably yet another CIA operative just like Saddam Hussien is
