I dream bad/scary dreams very often, specially when I sleep until noon. Dreams are like something horrible is running after me, sometimes dog, snake, accident, medical surgery etc. I don't want to know the meaning of dreams, because that will get worried more. I just want to have a dreamless sound sleep and to have a good & stress free day. Any suggestion please.

Sleeping until noon will not help, you're sleeping too lightly and thats when you're most likely to dream. Try getting up earlier and excercising more often, that will make your sleep deeper. I suffer from nightmares all the time too but I do notice a difference when I need my sleep more. Good luck!

If you have them regularly perhaps you should think about changing a bit of your lifestyle. You should try to relax before going to bed, have a bath or watch some light comedy or similar on television (ideally not the news as this can make you feel a little down sometimes) or listen to the radio.
If this does not work it is sometimes useful to have a cool flannel on the forehead (it could be a slight temperature).
If all else fails you could ask your doctor for some pills to help you get to sleep at night (I had some a few years ago and they are amazing although I do not usually encourage people to have medicine)
Any of these methods should work. Happy dreams! Of course if you are artistic you could make a dreamcatcher- catch your good dreams and let the bad ones (nightmares) pass straight through and away.

Make sure you do not eat something heavy close to bed-time. Some medication (drugs) can cause dreams.
Worry about something can cause the worry (as an image) to chase you in your dream.
You can try and control your dream.
Realise that dreams can not hurt you. Before you go to sleep, say to yourself. "When I dream I shall become aware that I dream". When you are aware that you dream, while dreaming, you can change it. Your mind will have control.
It may need some practise for a few nights before you succeed.

If you are asking about a medicine for that then i dont know... you will have to visit a doctor and they will suggest some pills which will help you to go into a deep sleep so that you do not dream or atleast do not remember your dreams... coz you dream only when you are not in deep sleep...
for other remedies, try some healthy habits... go to bed in a clean state, i.e. wash your hands and feet and face... wear comfortable , clean clothes to bed. make your bed properly, have proper lighting and temperature in the room (basic things, just to prepare yourself for a good sleep)... a good sleep is more like a mental thing. you need to be completely relaxed to welcome a good sleep... you can try meditating before sleeping... just some basic breathing excercise which will relax your mind and body and prepare you for a good sleep. changing your sleeping and wake-up times will also help... go to bed early and regular time daily and try and get up early mornings instead of sleeping till noon till such time you dont stop seeing those bad dreams...
btw, seeing bad dreams is considered a good omen... if you see good things in dream, they usually mean bad things in real life and bad things in dream brings good luck in real life... not sure if knowing that will help you, but still wanted to share it... and i do not believe in taking sleeping pills coz i am not sure if they are addictive... all the best...

Get out of bed earlier, do active stuff so that you are to knackered to dream , go to sleep thinking of winning the lottery, but then with the state you are in you will most likely dream of winning and have lost the ticket

They say ALL dreams have meanings BUT theres no point buying a dream interpretation book as they all tell you different things......so ive learnt and my pockets learnt lol.
I know just how you feel I USED to have the same dream every night up until about 4 months ago and "touch wood" ive not had it back since. Firstly let me tell you my dream. Mine was more inbetween sleep and wake!! I would wake up in the middle of each night with the fear of a big black dog standing at the foot of my bed growling at me. In my thoughts i could see the dog had blood dripping from its mouth and it looked very angry. I would wake and be in a total state of shock, paralised in fear. I wouldnt even be able to move when i tried. I would lay there for hours, feeling terrified that if i turned round or sat up or even moved it would pounce on me!!
Then i watched this programme a few months ago all about dreams and nightmares. It was very interesting and gave me ideas of overcoming my fears.
It said about facing your fears when your dreaming. To make yourself aware that your dreaming and that it isnt real, and to try and take control of your dream. So for an example, if you find yourself running away from something in your dream, lets say a dog. You need to try a train yourself to wake up in your dream and stop running. Turn and face it. And since we can do anything in dreams you can even teach yourself to change into something in your dream that the thing chasing you will run away from.
This can be done with practice.
1. Make a note of all the scarey things you dream about. Now beside them make a note of something that thing will turn and run away from.
2. Read this over and over again until you remember it without having to look at the paper. An example:- Big mean Dog - Dragon.
3. Tell yourself EVERY night just as your laying there
"If i dream it is only a dream and i am safe. I can control my dream".
4. Try also by scenting your room with Lavender. This herb/oil is known for its healing purpose and aids in good sleep and dreaming. I use this all the time now. Make sure your relaxed when you go to bed and dont let your mind wonder into worries till you drift to sleep.
My outcome.......was the next few nights wen i woke in this state of fear was to tell myself it wasnt real. Theres nothing there. As each night past I felt a little more braver and eventually one night, i took a deep breath and sat up. And guess what?????? THERE WAS NOTHING THERE.
I think ive beat my dream demon now as not had it for 4 months.
(lets hope i dont tonight now ive talked about it....lol)

Don't sleep until noon. Don't let the dreams get to you. Go to a councelor. Deal with it.
4 choices. Make one. Or take someone else's advice. Or your own. So I can continue my choppy sentences.

Hmmm...I get bad dreams too. Normally if something happened to you you might still be dreaming about it. Was there something you're running away from? You might need to talk to a therapist they might be able to help you
