It could be some sort of allergic reaction though frequently these cause itchy over all parts of the body. Maybe a brush with some poison ivy?

You are doing the right thing to consult with a vet about it. Don't fret yourself about it over the weekend. Remember only about 1% of the things we let worry us ever come true.

I'm sure the cat will survive the weekend. If the vet finds nothing wrong it could be a self inflected type of alopecia. My cat would lick it self until it got bald spots. It becomes a nervous habit. You have to find a way to distract the cat. We put a bird feeder right outside our window, and it worked. Cat grew her hair back in a couple of weeks.

I think it could definitely be ringworm. Go to walmart and get some of that ringworm medication. Maybe they have some kind of lotion or something, calling the vet for some temporary advice won't hurt. Could she have been hurt by climbing something?

It might be some kind of worm but its hard to tell um if your cat is an out side cat it might have gotten in to a fight and that spot is just a little swolen. This is on the worst side of things but it might be cancer and if it is the cvet can most likely remove it Sorry about your cat

It sounds like something my dog had it was called mange, it comes from scratching too much in an infected area, due to flees. Put a small amount of tea tree oil on it it will start to clear up and you probably wont have to bring it to the vet.
good luck Don't put too much of the tea tree oil on the cat just put a dab on a cloth and dab it on.
