'Acceptable' That's a strange word to use, justifiable may have been better! It's not exactly the same as giving some one an acceptable wedding present is it, in fact just the opposite as acceptable as a wedding present it would ruin the evening .
Justifiable certainly in some circumstances which have already been outlined here, assuming you were protecting your self against an attacker, however it is very painful and this is why I have a squeaky voice.

i felt it was acceptable to hit my b/f in the balls, he was picking with me after I kept telling his grown @$$ to stop. he didn't talk to me for 3 days afterwards.

Three conditions come to mind:
Defending one's self.
Defending any human or pet...
Or if he is a great pillock.
Failing a kick, some would do better, and the world benefitted by surgical neutering....

watch what u do you could seriously hurt a guy that way. i new a guy that got hit there and he could never have kids because his tubes in there got tied together(impromptu vasectomy) so if you love him and want kids i wouldn't try.
but i agree if u are being raped it might be your way out.
but make sure he will be convicted or he could sue u

Yes it is!! My ex squeezed my nipple really hard one time, made my entire breast was bruised and swollen, couldn't wear a bra for 2 days and of course it looked funny too. I waited until later that day when he wasn't expecting it and punched him in the balls as hard as I could. Then I dumped his sorry @ss.
