Human shampoo won't really hurt your dog but it's not the best thing to bathe your dog in especially if you bathe it often. Dog and human skin if very different in that dogs skin dries out very easy. Most human shampoos dry out the skin and hair because it is meant to our hair. We was our hair to strip the oils so we don't look all greasy. However dogs need oil in there hair to keep there coat healthy. If you do decide to use human shampoo on your dog try one that has good moisterizer in it. I use it on my dogs but they don't get bathed often because they aren't outside or anything much so there is no need until they start to stink. I do recomend dog shampoo before human though. Baby shampoo would probablly be the best kind though if you would rather have a good smell.

Homemade skin whitening products are by far the cheapest and safest solution to the brown spots which trouble you so much. Read here https://tinyurl.im/aHLUS
They are very effective and at the same nurture the skin, so that you will not only have a whiter skin, but a healthier one too.
Each and every person wants a clean and radiant skin. Some spend fortunes on cosmetic products that will lighten the skin and remove all the imperfections, others spend their money on esthetic operations in the hope that their skin will look perfect. Lastly, there are people trying to fake a healthy skin by using all kinds of makeup that will cover the imperfections and leave the impression that the skin is healthy and has no scars, wrinkles or spots.
All these people are looking for a way through which they can make their skin look good. Yet, what they have not taken into consideration is the power of natural ingredients. Fruits, vegetables and products coming from animals are great sources of anti-oxidants and are rich in substances which can whiten the skin, moisturize it, attenuate the fine lines and wrinkles and give it elasticity.

Good question! So many of us have, or have had problems finding the right shampoo for our pets. However, I've never used H & S, so I can't give you an opinion on that one.
But, I do use 'Vet Solutions Aloe & Oatmeal shampoo' on my dog and three cats. It doesn't contain soap, so, it doesn't strip their coats of essential oils.... no dandruff, or flaking. It doesn't burn their eyes either.
Just in case you're interested, I get it from my vet; and he charges $14.00 for a 16oz. bottle. It lasts a long time too, 'cause you're not supposed to use much.
Hope this helps.

Hi i have 8 staffs and use baby shampoo. It is cheap works really well and leaves thier coat shinny. Also as they are short haired dogs it does not irritate the skin. As they do have very sensitive skin.
I normally use tesco own or johnsons. If it goes near the eyes it also wont irritate. If its good enough for a babies delicate skin its good enough for my crew of 8!!
I would suggest not to use H & S as it is a specialist shampoo for dandruff and must contain lots more ingredients then a gentle baby shampoo. Hope this helps

I would never use human shampoo on my beloved animals...I use Dermaplex Dry Skin Relief Shampoo from PetSmart..It's about $7 a bottle and works wonders. Consider that before H & S

I've been warned about the damage Head and Shoulders can do to humans....be very careful before using it on your dog...too much perfume and chemicals will make them itch and sore...best to get dog shampoo it's cheaper than H & S as well.

I don't care if the breeders told you to use Head & Shoulders on your dog..I would never on my boys. I don't use human shampoo on them and especially not H&S which is laden with alot of chemicals. If you absolutely have no choice and no money to buy a $5 bottle of simple dog shampoo than at least no tearing human baby shampoo as not to sting the eyes of your dog.
However, again I would only recommend and use dog shampoo on my boys. I use oatmeal shampoo (don't care what brand name) since it is gentle on the skin and oatmeal is known to help alleviate any possibly skin problem lkike dryness and irritations.

I pretty much always use dog shampoo, and really massage my dogs skin when shampooing her, she never has any problems with dandruff. I also make sure I rinse her properly.
At the start of flea season, I use a baby shampoo with lavender in it (as flea´s don´t like lavender).
I personally wouldn´t use head and shoulders all the time,

No. It would be very hard on his skin and coat. Use only dog shampoo for your dog. Even when using that don't overbathe. Dogs should be bathed only once every six months unless obviously dirty. Daily brushing will keep clean, and his coat healthy between baths. Overbathing strips the dogs skin and coat of its natural oils, thus putting them into overload to make more. This can cause dry itchy skin, flaky skin, dry brittle haircoat, and even lead to more doggie odor.
