not sure what is allowed on board air travel? can you take your
meds on board with you also what personal items can you take on board.

You are allowed to bring you medicine on the aircraft with you as long as they are in the original package with you name on the prescription. As far as the rest of the items that are allowed on the aircraft I would suggest visiting the TSA website http://www.tsa.gov/ There you will find a complete list of exactly what you can and can not bring on the aircraft and exactly how you should pack your carry on luggage.

I can only speak for domestic flights. Your best bet is to check your airline's website, they always have their regulations posted, or give them a call. General guidelines can be reviewed on the TSA's website. Keep in mind that the less you carry on, the faster and easier it is to get through security screening.
