You can't go wrong with crate training. Get a small crate (just big enough for your dog to turn around in). If it's too big, they will use one corner as a potty and sleep in the other.

Put her in there to sleep, eat meals, and randomly throughout the day for a few minutes. She will cry, but don't go to her when she cries. Don't leave her for longer than 4 hours, except when she is asleep at night.

When you take her out, immediately take her outside and say "go potty," then reward her when she does. Don't scold for accidents. If you catch her in the act, just say "no," then immediately take her outside. She will catch on fast, and her crate will become her own cozy hideaway.

u can train him, a dog is never to old to be trained.

---STEP ONE---
spread news paper on the floor (accedents happen)
let him outside every hour. yes, EVERY hour. u don't need to walk him, just let him out. he'll soon learn to go outside. if he poops or pees outside, reward him with a small biscuit or a pat on the head.

-----STEP TWO----
if he pees or poops in the house, he needs to be scolded or he'll keep doing it and won't learn from his mistake.
hold his muzzle close to the poo and say, "bad boy!"
then let him go.

Cage while your gone and at night, they ususally won't go where they sleep. Place pads where the accidents occur and move them closer to the door, don't forget to reward everytime they do it right. when they get it you can cut out the rewards

I remember when my dog was a puppy. If your dog pees in the floor wipe it up then bring close to you dogs nose so he can smell it. He will learn that He is not supposed to pee there. Also take your dog outside, get him used to the environment and everything.
