Around 4 weeks usually. Why are you breeding though? Also, the very worst food you can give any dog is Bakers Complete. Its a known cause of hyperactivity, skin conditions, behavioural problems, even aggression, because its FULL of artificial colouring and e. numbers. Honestly, this food should be taken off the market, its the cause of around 70% of all undesirable behaviour in dogs that have been taken to training classes/behaviourists, once its disclosed what the dog is fed on and a diet change is implimented, the results are amazing. Avoid Bakers and go for either Nature Diet, Natures menu, or if it has to be a dry food, then Autarky, Arden Grange, Dr Johns or Walfco.

They can eat it soaked in water as early as 4-5 weeks. Obviously they can't eat it dry until they have teeth. Get a food formulated for puppies, not regular dog food, until they're at least a year old.

i'd start with soft dog food... perhaps around 8 weeks... i personally stay away from hard and soft dog food.. its nasty for one >.>. try canned food. purina's good. and they have a special puppy chow thing with canned food.. that mixed with dentymoor beef stew is good for them. not that lowfat crap either. the regular dentymoor beefstew.. its high in saturated fat and fatty acids. high in protien and other things good for growth. its also very low in perservitives and other artificial crap... the original brand anyway. plus it tastes really good ^^. and if you use that mix you can feed them at an extremely early age. but its still good to use the milk till they're around5weeks i believe.. and if you wanna be a cheapass hard dog food around a month XP. a little over

While you are trying to wean them at about age 6 weeks you can slowly introduce dry dog food into their diet.
